A Word About the RINO Rumors

Right now, RINOs, Helioleftists, and various other atheist moonbat treefrog America-haters are spreading rumors that Brownback is withdrawing from the GOP race today. I have one thing to say to these people- So what?

The GOP in its current form has become infected with people like Giuliani, who’d rather talk to his latest harlot on the telephone than talk to a roomful of veterans; McCain, whose only contribution to this campaign has been sucking airtime away from valid candidates; Romney, who wears magical underpants and worships a phony deity masqueraded as Our Lord; and Huckabee, who talks the talk but doesn’t walk the walk. Brownback is better off as a write-in candidate, if it comes to that, than he is competing for the nomination with this assortment of closeted Democrats and flagrant heathens.

It is saddening, of course, that many patriotic Americans may sin by voting for the GOP nominee over Senator Brownback in a write-in campaign. One may still hold out a glimmer of hope that it doesn’t come down to that. However, one must also abide by the Edicts of God. If God decides to test America’s faith by having Brownback win a write-in campaign rather than as a regular Republican nominee, let us praise the Will of God.

A write-in campaign victory would be unheard-of in the annals of American politics. It would be nothing short of miraculous. 50% of America’s atheists would convert upon receipt of the news, saving their souls; the other 50% would commit suicide or flee to New Zealand, thereby damning themselves and everyone foolish enough to listen to them in future.

Yes, the more I think about it, the more it seems to me that having Brownback drop out of the Republican race for President is the greatest victory God could give the man, and the nation. It will make us all savor the sweetness of his 2008 write-in victory that much more.

We here at Blogs 4 Brownback will, of course, stand behind the Senator, no matter what happens today or in future. If the GOP rejects Brownback, they shall cast themselves into the Lake of Fire right alongside the Democrats. Brownback is for all true Americans, not RINOs or liberals or secularists of any stripe or persuasion.

God bless America. Let us all continue to pray for Brownback’s eventual victory, and let us all work hand in hand to see that the blessed work of God comes to pass.

So shall the victory of Brownback confirm God’s Infinite Love for These United States.

Another One Bites the Dust: Thompson Bows Out

Tommy Thompson was a fine candidate who knew how to keep a promise.

“I’ve said all along that if I don’t come in first or second, I’ll drop out of the race,” said Tommy Thompson, a former governor of Wisconsin and Bush administration Cabinet official.

Now, from the Bush adminstration official, it becomes official.

Former Wisconsin governor Tommy G. Thompson dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination last night, a day after finishing sixth in the straw poll in Ames, Iowa.

A big man in defeat.

Thompson had pledged to leave the race if he did not finish first or second in Saturday’s straw poll. His showing reflected the fact that, though he devoted considerable time to campaigning in Iowa, traveling to all 99 counties, he never generated excitement among Republican activists for his candidacy.

He meant what he said and he said what he meant. An elephant’s faithful 100%.

“I have no regrets about running,” Thompson said in a statement released by his campaign. “I felt my record as Governor of Wisconsin and Secretary of Health and Human Services gave me the experience I needed to serve as President, but I respect the decision of the voters.”

Kudos to you Tommy.

Kossacks and I Finally Agree on Something

Heh.

This may qualify as the worst excuse ever by a presidential candidate:

Tommy Thompson cited a dead hearing aid and an urgent need to use the bathroom in explaining on Saturday why he said at a GOP presidential debate that an employer should be allowed to fire a gay worker. […]

“I was very sick the day of the debate. I had all of the problems with the flu and bronchitis that you have, including running to the bathroom. I was just hanging on. I could not wait until the debate got off so I could go to the bathroom.”

Leaving aside his total lack of dignity and the apparent need to share way too much information, does anyone really want this man’s finger on the button?

I agree with the analysis here. But what’s really funny about this is watching the Democrats turn on the RINOs who might be their best chance to get some of their agenda passed.

Tommy Thompson’s Macaca Moment?

From Race 4 2008 comes this:

Little did I know that later that day, Thompson said this unbelievably cringe-worthy statement while speaking at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism:

“I’m in the private sector and for the first time in my life I’m earning money. You know that’s sort of part of the Jewish tradition and I do not find anything wrong with that.”

Ouch. Why would a Presidential candidate say something like this? It’s not very Presidential if you ask me.

Was it intended as a joke or was he being serious and saw nothing wrong with perpetuating a stereotype of Jewish people? This certainly doesn’t help his struggling campaign.

Update: Mitt Romney Has the Highest Negatives of Any 2008 Presidential Candidate in Either Major Party at This Juncture. Double ouch.
