I’ve become addicted to posting these Youtube videos. This one has no immediate political relevance, other than showing that Iran can be beaten, and has been beaten in the past.
Plus, I think this was a really good movie. The Spartans were Pagans, but I still respect the values of their society. Very enlightened Pagans.

300 was the perfect commentary about the situation over in the Middle East right now. King Leonidas is the perfect analogy to GW Bush; fighting for freedom against the savage hordes of tyranny only to be betrayed by traitors at home.

It is just as I imagine it will be after the Rapture when the battle of Good vs. Evil takes place. I think I would love nothing more than watching the wicked be cut off at the knees. Literally. I’m aware that this is what the homosexual Athenian historians wrote.

Slavery was quite common in the ancient world. Ignoring arguendo the brutality of it, the concept of forced labor is also pretty common in the modern world, under different names- something you might consider the next time the tax man calls on your door. Exactly. It’s also funny how the most depraved elements of Spartan society, the ones most closely representing modern liberals, were also the ones taking Persian gold. They were probably also the ones cracking the slavers’ whips while the true patriots were giving their utmost at Thermopylae and Plataea.
