Burning is bad enough…

But this is quite another thing altogether.

You’ve seen the video of the Portland “peace” thugs burning an American soldier in effigy.

Now, Victoria Taft has the photo of the sicko who defecated on the American flag. (Vulgarity warning: Do not click through unless you are prepared to be totally disgusted.)

I haven’t yet worked up the stomach to watch it, and am not sure that I want to. Flag-burning, in my mind, is something that is very misguided and childish, and detracts from the protest’s message, but it is usually done more out of wrong-headed idealism than true malice.

But to actually defecate on the flag!

That shows nothing more than utter disdain and contempt for your country. It is not a misguided attempt to point out “problems” with our country. It is nothing more than a stab through the heart of every single person who, as I do, is proud of our flag, and whose heart is always a little lifted by the sight of it.

Whoever did that should be made to bend over while every American veteran takes a turn kicking him in the rear end.
