Faithmouse Friday

This edition of Faithmouse Friday revisits St. Valentine’s Day.

Please Be My Valentine

At least banks take holidays, but on a day that Americans celebrate romantic love, life and death go on at the abortuaries. The daily death toll from legalized abortion makes the St. Valentine’s Day massacre look like a picnic.

Pray for the murdered children. Be their voice since their cries have been snuffed out by indifference and sin. America has blood on her hands that won’t wash out until we decide to celebrate, rather than destroy, innocent life.

So what, making illegal suddenly stops it? Fat chance.

Also, what about that monthly murder of an egg, and every male’s mass murder on a daily basis of living cells?

Good question, usually it’s just really crappy political cartoons.

  4. I agree with Dio Brando. If abortion were illegal, both the kid AND the mother would die in a failed tentative of abortiongiven by unschooled doctors.

You think that’s going to stop guys like Dan Lacey? To them, women are expendable.

  7. Oh, here’s a nice bit for thought– Why is Huckabee Pro-life for the following conditions:

    -Incest
    -Rape
-Tay-Sachs(the child NO MATTER WHAT dies within 4-5 years)
-Cystic Fibrosis(child will die NO MATTER WHAT in less than 19 years)

    -Hydroencephaly
    -Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

…Barring his fondness for rape and incest babies, why make it illegal to prevent the birth of a child who no matter what is done, will die within a short time anyways? Note that Tay-Sachs and CystFib are entirely genetic, un-reliant on prenatal care.

    Because he hates America.

  10. Dio, life begins at conception. Those who have not sinned inordinately against God MUST have their lives protected at all costs. Those 4-5 years could be all that’s necessary for salvation.

It is well to remember the words of Martin Luther: “If women die during childbirth, let them die.” The more children women have, the happier women shall be. I still think that we need to give medals to any mother that has given birth to 4 or more children, although ironically enough, Pelosi and co. would think that it would be a stupid idea.

The mother had a chance at life. The infant needs one, too, no matter how short or irrelevant.

  11. Hey Corksmoker, how many siblings do you have? Assuming you haven’t killed her, how come your mother isn’t pregnant right now?

So even if the child is in horrible, horrible miserable pain for their 3 short years of life, they must be protected?

Also, how come you support killing babies in genocide? And when does conception count? Your sperm is alive, as is an egg.

  12. “Hey Corksmoker, how many siblings do you have? Assuming you haven’t killed her, how come your mother isn’t pregnant right now?”

My mother was not a Christian. She was a non-religious Jew, and a harlot. You have my permission to call her names.

“So even if the child is in horrible, horrible miserable pain for their 3 short years of life, they must be protected?”

Yes, so the child doesn’t go into Limbo.

“Also, how come you support killing babies in genocide? And when does conception count? Your sperm is alive, as is an egg.”

My sperm, or a woman’s unfertilized egg, are not able to develop into a human on their own, with only Time acting upon them. Once conception happens, we must do whatever we can to usher babies into heaven.

I, however, have 8 kids. Their ages are 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, and 21. They all get (or had, in the case of my 21 year old) education from private tutors (the 3 boys and 5 girls), they are straight A students, and they are the happiest little people you will ever see.

    Andrea Yates would argue differently.

“My mother was not a Christian. She was a non-religious Jew, and a harlot. You have my permission to call her names.”
Like Trogdor said, you’re a dick.

    Let’s have a look:

    1. Abortion is often used to cover up rape and incest, allowing these horrors to continue unchecked. In fact, incest victims are often grateful when they find themselves pregnant, simply because it allows the crime to be exposed and the perpetrators to get what they deserve.

    2. Most people tend to prefer QUALITY of life to QUANTITY of life. We have no way of knowing what life is like to disabled children, but studies indicate they are equally satisfied with their lives as everyone else, if not happier. Not to mention that:
    a. Doctors are researching a cure for Cystic Fibrosis
    b. Hydrocephaly is TREATABLE, and many patients have lived into adulthood, and are happy and productive individuals.
    c. Dying of disease as a child, while tragic, is certainly preferable to being torn into pieces before you get to experience life. At least in the former case, we can provide anesthetics to make the child’s death less painful. Your argument is disturbingly pessimistic.
