Are the French human, or are they demons in disguise, like platypusses and Sean Penn?  Discuss.

  1. There’s nothing to discuss…considering it’s an obvious “yes” [they’re human] and the rest of your statement is a load of twisted perception…

It’s that kind of flippancy that enables demons to walk amongst us in the first place, Mona.

    “Pure stupidity.”

I agree. I don’t have the highest respect for Mona’s intelligence, but I’d certainly expected a lot more from her than that.

Look, why can’t you just concede that most, if not all, Frenchmen are really demons? Is that so hard for you to accept? What, is your mother French or something?

No sin in being half-demon, La Mona. No more sin than us full-blood humans have, anyway. Jesus still loves you.

  15. Platypi (or as stupid calls them platypusses) are still demons, and now the French are too. If you believe that platypi are demons then you should remove Answers in Genesis from your links to your friend sites. You clearly call them liars by saying that. As well as the bible, which says God made all animals, not just all except the ones you want to think are evil. (your main source is the bible, show me where the bible says they are demons, if you can’t find it in the bible then you have no evidence period other than your own delusions)
And now French are demons too. Sorry folks can’t help you with this one. Sisy is desperate for arguements and lying about stupid things seems to be the only way he knows how to find them, so I’m gonna sit the rest of this one out, it’s just too stupid for any normal person to get involved in. Good luck all, but you can never convince a rock of anything.

And he called this a science thread.
Last time I checked myth and science were two diferent things.

  16. Arn, very well put.

Maura, you still go by a twisted comment made by Sisy months ago? I will try to explain to you once more what Sisy cannot comprehend. In the English language (that’s the one being used here) “bend” and “shift” mean two very different things. Understand? …probably not.

  17. I think the French are human, as sad as it sounds. The French are a clear warning to the dangers of atheism and reason; it turned a proud race of warriors into a bunch of cheese eating surrender monkeys. Their men only are ingrate, only concerned about their mouths, easily amused by crude physical humor. Their women fixated on fashion and their carnal passions. This is what the Darwinist want to do to America.

And I’ll say it again, PLATYPI ARE NOT DEMONS!!!

created medicines to prevent/treat other diseases yet to be cured

given us the technology to speak from across the world
    saved untold numbers of lives

Demons are not animals, so no contradiction.

  25. I don’t think that all French are demons, just the majority of them. Clearly the dark ones are the spawn of Satan, and the hairy ones are imps, but I think that certain French people have Aryan blood which may have protected them from the demon disease.

The best way to tell is to strap the subject to an iron table and light the gas burners underneath. If the burn and sizzle then they are human. If they curse and scream but don’t burn then they are demons.

Try this and I’m sure you will be able to tell the difference.

  28. Forgot to mention a blatantly obvious error in the title of your entry.

Science Noun. The collection of experimental data based on first-hand experience and experimentation. Also, the stating of facts that have been observed through the senses and which have direct physical evidence.

Religion Noun. The belief in God/gods, demons, and other supernatural phenomena. Characterized by faith in things that cannot be proven or disproven through physical evidence.

Both concepts are useful in our society. And, as a Catholic, I certainly have nothing against religion. But the two are not the same thing, and cannot be treated as the same thing. Talk of demons should be relegated to a religious discussion, rather than given the false label of “science.”

“What’s this have to do with Answers in Genesis?”
Well, in your Platypus “expose,” you labeled Platypii as demons. However, this completely contradicted Answering Genesis’ article, which said that platypii are a part of God’s great design. You use this site as a source, but now you’re going against them.
You love saying that a source can’t be trusted once it’s been proven wrong once. Well, do you still maintain that Platypii are demons, or will you denounce what you said as heresy?

    The choice is yours.

  37. “Demons are part of God’s plan, too”

Bible quote please. If you say it back it up.

    “Satan-worshipping atheists”

Contradicting, athiests don’t believe is Satan either. So they don’t worship anyone.

“Some of the most marvellous engineering in God’s creation can be seen in this shy ball of fur.” — From Answers in Genesis on the platypus.

” And a new generation of humans can once more marvel at this unusual and wonderful creation of God.” — From Answers in Genesis on the platypus.

Didn’t you say God didn’t make these creatures?

Utterly preposterous. If you don’t worship the Lord, you worship Satan. That’s how it works. It might be the devil or it might be the Lord, but you gotta serve somebody.

    Comment by Psycheout — December 6, 2007 @ 2:32 pm | Reply

  39. Sorry psyche, that was just plain stupid. I live by the values set down in the bible, I have never done anything evil in my life (and don’t start with the drug bull again, get educated on the facts then argue with me on pot) and I serve no one, you can’t worship what you don’t believe in, I don’t believe in Satan, he was another creation of man. God was created to explain life and Satan was created to explain fear, and death is used to determine our choices, it is to be our final reward or our final punishment.

cute idea though, quoting a song for your evidence there. I saw a poster once way back in the late 60s that said “Dillon is God”.

  40. Sisyphus, you just dodged my question again. Are you going to argue with Answers, or will you take back what you said about platypii?
Also, I never said anything to suggest I was atheist. I’m a Christian Independent. I love Jesus, but i don’t follow any religious doctrine.

  41. What on EARTH makes the French less than human? Their culture is incredible,as is the food. If you think Americans are any better, then try actually looking around you. Incredibly obese people. Crappy fast-food chains. Junk made by underpaid workers in China. George Bush. People like you, who think that they’re right and everyone else is deluded.
And atheists don’t believe in anything. Thus, they cannot worship Satan. That’s the point of being an atheist, you don’t believe in God/Satan/whoever.

I can however find alot of evidence supporting the contradiction… one being that they are the same race as americans.. you might have heard of them they are called humans, and if platypi are demons why not kangaroos and tasmanian devils.. Becides canada was founded by frenchmen and that country is alot less looney then america.

  47. Since when are platypuses (yes, platypi is actually psuedo-Latin) demons?

  48. “Its their gaullic blood that makes them demons, Teutonic blood is immune to the taint.

so this makes me a nazi how?”

Eugenics and white supremacy were the cornerstone of You-Know-Who’s campaign against Jews, Gypsies, Communists, Catholics, and everyone who didn’t worship the Reich.

“Utterly preposterous. If you don’t worship the Lord, you worship Satan. That’s how it works. It might be the devil or it might be the Lord, but you gotta serve somebody.”

How can they worship someone they don’t believe exists? I agree atheism is an extremely pessimistic viewpoint, but atheists neither acknowledge nor worship any deity, not even the pagan gods. Therefore, they cannot possibly worship Satan, since they believe that neither God nor Satan exists.

“I don’t believe in Satan, he was another creation of man.”

Quite true. Even the early Jews didn’t believe in an entity of pure evil; the Satan in the book of Job is more of a neutral trickster, analogous to the Norse god Loki. The entity currently known as “Satan,” Lucifer, and the Devil, was created by the early Christians. The “horns and a tail” appearance was borrowed from the Celtic fertility god Cernunnos, in order to convert the Celts to Christianity. The only possible reference to the Devil as such is the dragon in Revelations, and that could merely be a symbol of the evil people in the world, or of the pagan districts of the Roman Empire (which had taken over Judea, setting up Herod as a puppet king, and which had officially crucified Christ by order of Pontius Pilate).

“If you enjoy eating frog’s legs, slugs, snails and horse testicles, be my guest. Yecchh.”

They are indeed unpleasant, but they’re more edible than the swill McDonald’s passes off as a “hamburger.” I bet there isn’t even any real beef in them–at least, not from the good parts of the cow!

“Becides canada was founded by frenchmen and that country is alot less looney then america.”

Except for their dollar coin. ;P
