Faithmouse Friday

Dan Lacey pokes the idiotic Darwinists sharply in the funnybone in a recent strip.

Faithmouse 11-28-2007

I’m seriously considering making this a regular feature. Since my first cautious assessment of Faithmouse, I’ve come to realize that Dan’s cutting edge work is very effective at communicating the pro-life message and issues of faith and conscience to those it may not have yet reached.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. The number of words that Dan has communicated through Faithmouse must be astronomical by now.

Watch for an upcoming profile on Dan Lacey’s ongoing Faithmouse project. I think it’s about time I made up for not recognizing the power and value of his art.

Faithmouse Friday really has a nice ring to it. I hope Mr. Lacey approves.

Update: Bonus Faithmouse to get you through the weekend.

  1. How about SecularCat Saturday? That has a good ring too.

  2. But seriously, FaithMouse isn’t representing the facts, (or “Evil-lutionist Blabber” as you so poetically put it.)

Evolution isn’t an endless baton-pass game, where one species hangs out in this world for a while, and then allows for the other, more advanced descendent to immediately take over.

Worms aren’t even the predecessors of us humans, they too share a common ancestor from hundreds of millions of years ago. They are merely one of the end-products of the evolutionary cycle.

Even our last species we branched off from, Homo Erectus, (Meaning Same(to modern man) Erect(Indicating a vertically-inclined backbone) in English, not the knid of homo that gets you into a hissy-fit.) has many other branches besides Homo Sapiens, like Homo Neanderthalis.

You see, we don’t say, “our uncle is a monkey” and for anyone who does, it was never meant to be taken literally. Why can’t written English ever be understood figuratively. Just because you believe that the Bible needs to interpreted literally, (I won’t say anything about that, considering it’s not what we are talking about) doesn’t mean that every other piece of English is to be so as well.

No, the monkey is our uncle, (technically, you mean the chimpanzee, but again, I’m not going to get any farther into that.) is meant in that the “monkey” is a branch-off from us Humans from a same common ancestor two “species-generations” ago, so, when the evolutionary tree interpreted as a family tree, the species “monkey” is our species “uncle”.

    Hope that clears up anything.

  3. OK. So humanity has’nt evolved in even just a few generations? Everyone had computers and the world wide web 30 years ago? IPODS have been around since the ’50s. People were driving Dodges during the Revolutionary War. I guess flu viruses never evolve.

    Anti-Evolutionist kookery at it’s finest.

    Comment by spacebrother — November 30, 2007 @ 8:54 pm | Reply

  4. Correct me if I’m wrong here, but I believe the evolution of humanity and the advancement of technology are two totally different things, so the questions regarding the web and the IPODs were just silly. Sorry about that Spacebro, but you kinda stepped into that one. However, we have evolved in the last few generations, just not quite in the areas most people are looking.

  5. Me and my good friend Armand de Richelieu have gone through Faithmouse’s entire archive. I think we found one comic that was funny. Just one. Not to mention how it’s a headache to navigate that site.

  6. You did EB? you must have stuck with it longer than I did, I didn’t find any funny ones, and I got tired of looking pretty quick, overall a dull site that I wont be returning to again.

    Comment by Arn — December 3, 2007 @ 9:24 am | Reply

  7. My point was sarcasm. People who don’t believe in evolution are completely out of touch with reality. I believe that our advances in technology are one area where we can see our own evolution at work. Medicine is another aspect. As an example, the average life span of humans has increased, at least in developed countries. There are physical signs of evolution as well like the fossil records.

    Comment by spacebrother — December 3, 2007 @ 9:54 am | Reply

  8. Ok, I get ya now, but I was referring to the more physical aspects of evolution. Little things like evolving out of the need for the appendix, it used to be a cleaning organ to clear toxins from our body and to “reboot” the digestive system if the colon or intestines shut down from poisons in unprepared foods. We have evolved in other areas physically too, I know the anti-evolution blokes here wont like this one but who cares,, The male penis was an average of 2.75 inches just a few generations ago, now that average is between 4.75 and 5.25 inches (sorry girls, the six inch average is a myth), and within the next few generations is will probably increase again. Our internal organs are evolving noticably too. And if you take it to the basest of levels you can look at other life forms such as viruses, what they often refer to as mutations are actually the natuaral evolution of these viruses, and yes they are a life form, just as plants are, and plant life, too, has evolved in recent history, not just from man’s engeneering, but also from the natural evolutionary process.

That’s because you aren’t a good Christian Arn. I found the whole website hilarious in it’s on target commentary of the diseased mind of the liberal.

It’s a stupid sight. The worst Christain here is BJ the Hellbound Hellboy. Yer goin’ straight to Hell BJ you sinner. Your diseased mind should be the least of your worries Hellbound McHellboy.

  12. Oh come on you guys, let BJ ramble, him, bobcock and mcvain all want me banned here, and all claim it’s because of my name calling and obscenities, of which they all do much more of than I do. So I am happy to let them ramble on about me to their little hearts’ content, having those folks insult you does much more for your image than, say, having them compliment you.

  13. And besides, this time he was right, I’m not a good Christian, but then again, even if I were Christian I still don’t think I would have found that site funny.

    Comment by Arn — December 3, 2007 @ 12:14 pm | Reply

  14. Understand this, BJ: I can take a joke at my or my belief’s expense, as long as it’s funny. When it’s stupid, like 98% of what psycheout has said, i don’t laugh. I find the term “cheese-eating surrender monkies” hilarious, and a decent jib at my side is fine, but FaithMouse is stupid. just because you can draw doesn’t mean you can make a successful comic. if you want good art and a good story, try Penny Arcade or Dominic Deegan.

[Ed Note: You have to include the “http://” part for the links to work, Einstein. Otherwise they are considered relative to the base url, which is B4B. You people can be so dumb sometimes!]

  22. Elephant Bones, the links you posted are garbled-either you or wordpress screwed up the html. Psycheout isn’t trying to ‘suppress’ your links, which is plain because he left intact your original signature link to 4chan, a notorious pedophilia image bank (still accessible by clinking on the links in your comment #’s 3 and 16).

Judging from your links, you’re just a useless gamer who HATES EVIL BUSH and spends most of his time wanking off to cartoons of children getting raped.

    Mister Lacey,
your lingo is smelly, and you have no manners whatsoever.
Just because your cartoons are LOUSY doesn’t mean that you have to insult people. Since you do it anyway shows that you lack as much of character as your cartoons lack quality.

  25. “Judging from your links, you’re just a useless gamer who HATES EVIL BUSH and spends most of his time wanking off to cartoons of children getting raped.”
well, 2 out of the 3. i enjoy video games and think bush’s administration is making 1984 look more like an instruction manual than a warning.

4chan isn’t a “pedophilia image bank,” it’s an anonymous image board that people will occasionally post child porn on. the mods give permanent bans to these people, and the pictures are immediately deleted. though your assumption that i am a /b/tard is correct, you shouldn’t always assume. for all you know, i go there for the cooking board. you know what, why am i defending this site? even the users themselves agree that the site is mostly crap. they call it the “internet hate machine,” and that assessment couldn’t be more accurate.

and the links work fine for me, maybe your internet browser is messing it up. firefox has worked more for me than internet explorer. i suggest trying it out.

  26. I would think that as a 4Chan fan Elephant Bones you would really find the Faithmouse cartoon really on target with it’s comment about the perverted voyeurism of secular science. Then again it may hit a little close to home to be funny for tentacle school girl fetishist like you. As I said, Fathmouse only works if you are a good Christian first.

Keep up of the good work Dan Lacey.

    Comment by BJ Tabor — December 3, 2007 @ 4:42 pm | Reply

  27. why do you automatically assume i’m a tentacle fetishist? besides the obvious reasons that moxom, arn, and spacebrother would happily point out.
    and i’m not a 4chan fan, i’m a 4chan user.

    Comment by Elephant Bones — December 3, 2007 @ 8:46 pm | Reply

  28. Sorry EB, I can’t point anything out here, I haven’t got the slightest idea what a tentacle fetishist is. I tried to picture one but that just got really weird. I suggest we let BJ bend over and give his own tentacle a BJ and leave it at that.

they’ll get mad if i talk about tentacle fetishes on this site (and it’s really not the place to discuss it anyway), so i’ll just advise you to research tentacle hentai on your own time. wikipedia should have enough information to satisfy your curiosity. needless to say it’s an acquired taste. I myself don’t partake in such things, though you’ll find plenty on 4chan who do. if you’re interested, check the /d/ board. be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.

I apologize on their behalf. They do not know what they do.

Here we feature the work of a great comic artist, and there aren’t too many of them around, and all they can do is act like angered monkeys in their cages, flinging their own feces at their betters. They think they’re descended from apes, and they prove it with their bestial behavior.

Dan Lacey’s going nowhere folks, and neither is Faithmouse Friday. Like it or lump it.

I really hope you don’t consider yourself one of our betters, you know it’s a mental disorder to think you are better than others,, I don’t care if faithmouse is here to stay or not, the site was dull so I wont be going back to it, it can stay forever, I know folks with your mentality will keep it alive (even if it is already dead) as for being better, no one should think they are better than others, but if anyone really is, it’s not any of you folks, you’ve proven that over and over again. 47. You know, I used to think Faithmouse was a pretty good religious comic until I saw this strip. Evolutionary theorists never said that all worms evolved into something else. You just assume that’s what they said, without reading any texts on how evolutionary theory works.

It’s funny that nobody’s saying “If Lutheranism, Presbyterianism, et al., broke off from Catholicism, why are there still Catholics?” It’s exactly the same kind of argument. Evolutionists never said that all primates evolved into humans, only that some did. If you’re going to argue against evolution, the “Why are there still XYZ species?” approach just isn’t going to cut it.
