Ron Paul Gets It Right For Once

Ron Paul (Committed)He may be a lunatic Nazi and a crypto-leftist America-hating loon, but when the subject is Christmas Ron Paul is right on the money:

As we celebrate another Yuletide season, it’s hard not to notice that Christmas in America simply doesn’t feel the same anymore. Although an overwhelming majority of Americans celebrate Christmas, and those who don’t celebrate it overwhelmingly accept and respect our nation’s Christmas traditions, a certain shared public sentiment slowly has disappeared. The Christmas spirit, marked by a wonderful feeling of goodwill among men, is in danger of being lost in the ongoing war against religion.

Through perverse court decisions and years of cultural indoctrination, the elitist, secular Left has managed to convince many in our nation that religion must be driven from public view. The justification is always that someone, somewhere, might possibly be offended or feel uncomfortable living in the midst of a largely Christian society, so all must yield to the fragile sensibilities of the few. The ultimate goal of the anti-religious elites is to transform America into a completely secular nation, a nation that is legally and culturally biased against Christianity.

Read the whole thing. It’s a priceless assessment of what is going wrong in American cultural life today, and a scathing critique of rampant secularism’s war on Jesus.

It’s good to know that Ron Paul may yet be saved.

  1. He’s entirely right. We need to reverse this trend.

I propose a law REQUIRING every building in this country to publicly display a religious symbol from a pre-approved list between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day, under penalty of being shipped to Gitmo.

That ought to bring the Christ back into Christmas and end this secular-liberal War on our holy holiday.

  2. Leftist? Ron Paul is in favor of zero welfare. He wants to abolish social security, medicare, medicaid, department of education, department of energy, department of agriculture, the IRS, and I could go on. He wants to totally abolish the income tax for crying out loud! It’s one of the central platforms of his campaign. He is the least leftist presidential candidate in the last hundred years. Leftists are socialists. Bush is a leftist (see his prescription drug benefit). Huckabee is a leftist (see his record of taxing and spending in Arkansas). Romney is a leftist (see his universal health care plan in Massachusetts). Ron Paul is not a leftist.

America hater? In every single speech Ron Paul is quoting the founding fathers and the founding documents and pointing out the very clear examples of how our government has gotten away from these principles and how we should return to them. His politics are perfectly in line with the writings of Thomas Jefferson on issue after issue.

Lunatic Nazi? A neo-nazi sent him money and this makes him a nazi? To say that is simply slanderous and dishonest. He has said countless times that one of his heros is Martin Luther King. He does not endorse segregation or any other racist policy.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Sam Brownback and Ron Paul would agree, too!

He quotes them selectively to bash this country. He’s a crypto-Fascist, a crypto-leftist, and a complete loon.

“Lunatic Nazi? A neo-nazi sent him money and this makes him a nazi?”

    He took it, didn’t he?

“To say that is simply slanderous and dishonest. He has said countless times that one of his heros is Martin Luther King.”

A renowned Socialist. Yet you claim he’s not a leftist. NOW who’s being disingenuous, Paullist?

“He does not endorse segregation or any other racist policy.”

Except letting the Palestinians kill all the Jews, of course.

I think I saw something on your’ church on TV; wasn’t your pastor dragged behind a truck and briefly set on fire last year for Christmas? It does sound like your’ church knows how to celebrate The Lord’s birth. And to think the secularists say we Christians aren’t humble people.

This is the most disturbing thing that I have read here yet.^
Either way, referring to one’s opponent as a nazi, unless they specifically and vocally advocate the mass extinction of an entire race of people, illustrates one’s inability to come up with an actual argument and that one’s comments are really being driven by hatred.
On that note, yes, Christmas should be a happy time and changing it to Xmas in fear of offending someone is to me, more backwards than covering up one’s sexuality.

you go by the name ”sisyphus”, and you are reffering to GREENWALD as the ‘sockpuppet’??

Greenwald is tired of the manipulation that has left the US at the mercy of FALSE FLAG ___-Cons of whichever flavor you want, the open democrat liberals or the bought and paid for rebuplican candidates, as well as the global business interests that for a lousy few million in PAC donations get to control billions in foreign aid that the shills they put into office return to them. AIPACs lobbying efforts / ‘donations’ to US federal candidates, cost them a few million last year: **** for which the Israelis recieved 30 BILLION in US tax dollars for military aid ALONE.****

Its the the least ethical but most profitable investment EVER EXISTING- they also got a 1.5 trillion war against Iraq whos dictator was paying bounties to palestinian suicide bombers, which did genuinely threaten Israelis but NOT US taxpayers who funded it.

A 31.5 BILLION payoff for passing a few million to OUR govt officials, who covieniently exempt them from even registering as a foreign lobby…if this isnt the biggest unreported scam in history I dont know what else comes close.

All candidates but Paul WILL allow this to continue. Greenwald is a jew and certaiinly not in favor or agreement with ”nazis”, but he is an american first and recognizes a pocket picking subversion when he sees it.

I like your humor a lot, but Paul is really the last thing any loyal americn has to worry about. We will be Rome circa 600 a.d. in a few years (owned by others) unless Paul prevails.

The sad fact is all the others are willing to accept selling our nation and its foreign policy to the highest bidder, and its too bad we have allowed ourselves to be reduced to accepting this. Greenwald called it right.

By ‘false flag’ I refer to the Lib/Neo-con proclivity for shouting ‘support the troops’ as a decoy / stand in for what they really mean,..”support our think tank crafted policies so that Podhoretz et al dont take any blame for being wrong…oh and now go invade iran too, and never mind that these policies are tailor made to suit the demands of the israeli security needs, and can only add problems for actual US taxpayers, but can never solve any”..

I concur that ‘truthers’ are generally delusional idiots, if thats what your asking. As for your take on Greenwald his outlook and opinion are valid, and like it or not he is not as a very liberal jew going to support a ‘nazi’ as the slur was so freely and undeservingly plastered.

If Greenwald has committed the sin of suruptitiously agreeing with himself, it has no affect on the validity of his viewpoint, but certainly suggests he has no real interest in an open debate of his viewpoints. This really assails his blogging ”street cred” amongst his peers (you), but not his credentials or logic.

Nothing in my previous post was innacurate or, sadly, exaggerated, and worse yet, most americans have no clue that they are being manipulated to suit the demands of a foreign lobby answerable to no one.

The fact we are wasting time arguing over whether/how Ron Paul deserves to be attacked while AIPAC openly directs us towards an attack on iran explains why are prospects are very dim as a nation.

RP isnt the only answer, nor is he a certain fix, but hes on the right track and is not afraid to be hated and vilified by those who fear exposure, and thats why so many just love the guy.

the best thing about RP is that he has all the right people scared.

Glenn Greenwald is as far-left crazy as they come and he’s shilling for Paul. Is this the kind of person you want to associate with?

You’re welcome to him, and Stormfront too. The farther you go to the fringes of either left or right, the more you find agreement. That’s where you find RP support.

Left and right are not points on a line, but points on a circle. You go far enough in either direction and you reach the same point. That’s where Paul is. He’s supported by wackos like Alex Jones, Don Black, Glenn Greenwald and the always unhinged “Spacebrother.” If you want to live in space, keep supporting RP. Nice company you keep.

Oh shut the heck up. Alex Jones and Don Black contributed a combined $1500 dollars, after the 1,300 refund to Jones. Do the math. That’s a tiny fraction of a percentage point of the total monetary support Ron got in the third quarter. I’d venture to say that many Jews contributed $2,300 to the Ron Paul campaign in the same timeframe. Do you have a problem with that company we keep?

nice misdirection- i am a AMERICAN conservative, not a dual loyalty _Con, and I strongly oppose the israeli lukud party which is subverting MY govt and demanding that i subsidize their goals and nation, no matter what they do.

”Joos” are not the problem, liberal or conservative dual loyalty adherents to foreign political agendas that threaten our sovereignty are my PROBLEM, be they armenian lobby, israeli lobby, NATO lobby that we still ”defend” in spite of absence of enemys decades after ww2, ingrate south korean lobby, taiwan lobby that expects us to go to war with china for them..the list goes on..

The israeli lobby is the biggest internal threat we face though because
1/ they have been congressionally exempted by our bought, shill politicians from EVEN COMPLYING with the lobby rules that govern and restrain everyone else listed above,..
2/ their adherents have already subverted us into war against their prime enemy, saddams iraq,

3/ they are furiously demanding we attack their new worst enemy, IRAN~ after iran they will demand we hit syria,

4/ they our robbing our treasury dry,

they have near complete consolidation of all our domestic media into likud-allied hands/ 5 companies all headed by likudnik jews own nearly all out consolidated national media andsell their own agenda under false pretenses.

Barry Manilow also of jewish heritage maxed out 2300 bucks to RP, and generally is not a supporter of ‘nazism’ anymore than most conservatives are.
In spite of where our individual forebearers come or what religion we practice we ALL need to stick together and look out for OUR country, and allow other nations, israel included, to do the same.

The israeli likud chose to manipulate our democratic weaknesses to ENSURE that they would ALWAYS get what they want from the US, instead of seeking voluntary assistance, which is why they have forfeited the prospect of any further such aid.

The same principle would hold true should ANY foreign govt seek to engage in such subversion…the fact like it or not is that it is the israelis who have done so. To turn a blind eye is cowardice, and borders on enslavement.

It was the american CONSERVATIVES who opposed our entry into WW1, or fighting GREAT BRITAINS battles, in spite that the vast majority of THOSE AMERICAN conservatives in that era were themselves descended from the British Isles, so were they ‘anti-anglo/saxon
    *
WE as conservatives are just being as CONSISTENT today as the conservatives of 1917 were to the foreign manipulation of their era…

  34. Actually the Left has even helped to train today’s youth to disrespect ALL religions and also older people.

Though the privatization of carehomes for the elderly did not make them any less Left in that the elderly, like religion, are anathema to the Left due to youth culture.

Sure, the Right exploit this too.

But both kinds of people were still taught by teachers whose profs in university are of the socialist bent.

Look at the psychiatrists’ “bible”, the DSM-IV Manual: all mental disorders are voted into existence by a committee of psychiatric professionals.

So even the Right use Leftist tools for their own schemes.

This is why a crypto-leftist is most dangerous.

Listen to someone who should know talk about them:

The more dangerous leftists, that is, those who are most power-hungry, are often characterized by arrogance or by a dogmatic approach to ideology. However, the most dangerous leftists of all may be certain oversocialized types who avoid irritating displays of aggressiveness and refrain from advertising their leftism, but work quietly and unobtrusively to promote collectivist values, “enlightened” psychological techniques for socializing children, dependence of the individual on the system, and so forth. These crypto-leftists (as we may call them) approximate certain bourgeois types as far as practical action is concerned, but differ from them in psychology, ideology and motivation. The ordinary bourgeois tries to bring people under control of the system in order to protect his way of life, or he does so simply because his attitudes are conventional. The crypto-leftist tries to bring people under control of the system because he is a True Believer in a collectivistic ideology. The crypto-leftist is differentiated from the average leftist of the oversocialized type by the fact that his rebellious impulse is weaker and he is more securely socialized. He is differentiated from the ordinary well-socialized bourgeois by the fact that there is some deep lack within him that makes it necessary for him to devote himself to a cause and immerse himself in a collectivity. And maybe his (well-sublimated) drive for power is stronger than that of the average bourgeois. – t. kczynski, unabomb manifesto 239
