It looks like the 2007 Weblog Awards is being turned on its ear. Blogs 4 Brownback didn’t make the finals for Best Conservative Blog (a scandal to be sure), IMAO didn’t make the finals for Funniest Blog, and even Day by Day is being beaten by stick figure comic xkcd for best comic strip. At least Ted Rall isn’t in the running. Maybe if there was a Most Anti-American Comic Strip Award, he’d be in first place. He’d get my vote.
Sadly, No!, or Teh Sadly as they like to be called, or The Sad Sack, as they are more frequently called, are leading the funniest blog on the poll, ahead DUmmieFUnnies by a disgustingly wide margin. I’m ready to call it for the Sadly Not Funny guys. It’s official. They won. Probably by cheating. That’s the only logical explanation.
A preliminary investigation of time stamps has conclusively suggested that SN is headquartered in Germany. It figures. What will you guys do for an encore, invade Poland?
So congratulations, I guess. 3 Bulls is funnier. Or is it weirder? On the left, it’s hard to tell the difference.
Well, that’s the way I see it from here.
A small happy note is that pretend “conservative” and demonstrated turncoat John Cole is going to lose bigtime. He was rightfully booted out of the Best Conservative Blog category along with B4B. And Timmy, filling in for the committed Juan Cole, is desperately begging for votes. What a bunch of balloon juice.

You lost? Cry me river.
Another whine-article.
(And no, we won´t invade Poland anytime soon. Even if they keep pissing us off with their blockade policy in the EU, the farthest we´ll probably go will be to withhold their development aids.)

Raw Story is reporting that your blog is really a liberal blog. That you are a satirical blog.
I have read parts of your blog. It’s not very funny and it’s not satirical.
You are not a comedian or a person with a real sense of humour. What you have is an overintellectualized use of wording.
And to some other people who are overintellectualized and who are unable to experience human feeling and are without a sense of humour, but who imagine they have one…that passes for “funny”.

Sadly, No is a VERY funny blog.
I totally love B4B. Trust me, B4B did not lose because of any efforts on my part. This website so clearly is consistent with how the average American conservative views the world that I could never vote for some other site.

Somebody else who can’t deal with the issues Psycheout and Sisyphus raise daily here. I’ve said it before; parody is the new Nazi.

So you admit then that Ann Coulture and Limbaugh are Nazi’s then.
BJ, Psycheout and Sisyphus……definitely going to Hell. Don’t let the pitchfork and pointed tail poke you guys in the a$$ on you’re way down.

was there a stupidest blog award? This site certainly should have won that one.

Psycheout is a perfect example of where an abortion should have been performed.

Honestly, I’d never even heard of Day by Day until just now when I read this article. The unfortunate truth of these sorts of awards is that many excellent yet obscure webcomics are ignored, leaving only the best of the better-known ones to be picked through.

Addendum: Day By Day may have lost because, while the comic itself is delightful, the interface lacks the convenience of the “Next Comic/Previous Comic” buttons. Site design is just as important as comic design in these awards.
