We Won

Al Qaeda in IraqBad news for the terrorsymps on the left. They wanted you to believe that victory in Iraq was impossible. They wanted to cut and run. They desperately wanted us to surrender in the War on Terror. Well, guess what? They were wrong. We won.

“Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated,” according to Sheik Omar Jabouri, spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic Party and a member of the widespread and influential Jabouri Tribe. Speaking through an interpreter at a 31 October meeting at the Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters in downtown Baghdad, Sheik Omar said that al Qaeda had been “defeated mentally, and therefore is defeated physically,” referring to how clear it has become that the terrorist group’s tactics have backfired. Operatives who could once disappear back into the crowd after committing an increasingly atrocious attack no longer find safe haven among the Iraqis who live in the southern part of Baghdad. They are being hunted down and killed. Or, if they are lucky, captured by Americans.

Take that, moonbats! This is the worst thing ever for your anti-American defeatism. Face it: we were right and you were wrong. Now is not the time to surrender. Total victory is close at hand. So sorry to have disappointed you. A little mopping up and we can move on dot com. You and your pals lost, we won. Eat it, lefties.

  1. Okay, so victory against a single group in a single part of Baghdad translates into victory against all insurgent groups (al queida´s just one) in the whole country. Does anyone see the irony?

But I´ll remmeber you of this in a year or so, when the war in Iraq is still going on.😉

  2. It hurts doesn’t PG, that America has won? Well we knew that was coming for a long while. America has never lost a war and Iraq is no time to change that record.

  3. Not relly, BJ. The only thing that hurts is that after your delared victory, you are likely to simply leave ths spot ASAP and leave the “cleanup” to others, just like in Afghanistan. Which means that the real soldiers have to do much of your work again.

And again, even if al Queida is down, what about the other insurgent groups?

America has never lost a war

Korea (well, seem like the chinese were not that lame after all…), Vietnam (getting kicked by a peasant army and having a morally completely defunct army at the end, what a shame.), the pigsbay invasion (no comment), 1812 (british burn the white house and canada´s not occupied, what a disaster) and of course the Civil War (a civil war is always a defeat for the nation waging it).

  4. The liberal naysayers made us surrender in Vietnam. We’d have easily won if not for them. The Viet Cong were kept afloat by the anti-American protests. That’s been proven after the war ended.

    Lesson: never surrender.

That basically the whole armd forces combat morale was rock bottom didn´t help. Vietnam gave you the distinct honor to be the only modern western army in which soldiers regularly fragged their own officers. (Some units had one officer murdered by his own men per week!) And I won´t even begin about the drug misuse.

The Viet Cong were kept afloat by the anti-American protests. That’s been proven after the war ended.

Yeah, right, because those protests somehow magically transformed into AK´s and bullets and were magically teleported to `Nam. The fact is that your southern vietnamese allies were corrupt a**holes that were hated by their own population more than the commies. And napalm bombing civilians didn´t make that situation any better either.

  6. PS: To get back to your little “Germany´s planning WWIII” suspicion: I think we would use more than 1.3% of our GPD for the military in that case.🙂

  7. If Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated, doesn’t that mean we’re done? Iraq is now officially safe from terrorism, isn’t it?

  8. America has never lost a war,,, I’m sorry, but that is wrong, America has hardly ever won a war. The colonians won against the British, but that was the colonies not the united states of America, Texas won against Mexico, But that was the Republic of Texas, who at that time were their own Republic and not a part of the U.S. in the two world wars the Allies won, we were a part of it, but it wasn’t just us. Korea and Nam were both losses, China won those, even though like us, it wasn’t their war either. And Iraq, it’s not over and we are losing, GW has he head on starting more wars before finishing this one,,, he sees himself as supreme commander of the world,,, and that’s a dangerous thing,, his heroes, Napoleon, Alexander, Atilla, and Adolf.

  9. I, too, am happy that we have won. The Iraqis finally have Second Amendment rights, although Christians still have a long way to go. Unfortunately, these wars have cost a great deal of money and lead to a further extension of Big Government. Big Government is a Democrat idea, but it terrifies me how the Republicans under Bush have become attached to it. I think the best solution for dealing with Al Qaeda is to publicly behead everyone in Guantanamo, right on the Capitol’s lawn! This will ensure that they will repent, and public opinion from all countries will surely be on our side when they see the Al Qaeda members cuss like sailors, a typical Moo-slim activity.

Wtf are you talking about… I saw a movie about some Saudi martyrdom operatives, and they would always refrain from using obscene language

  14. All right! We won. Huzzah. By the way, you might be interested in the Wounded Warriors Project. It’s a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness for U.S. troops severely wounded in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. It really puts a face on the cost of this conflict. Here’s a link:

  15. Yeah, I heard all about this on the radio today.

They then noted that while the boat isn’t sinking quite as rapidly as it was in May, when the killings were at their peak, the boat is still sinking. They also noted that the rate of violence is far, far higher now that it was when Saddam was president.

Now, Saddam needed to go. I honestly do not question that. And, guess what? There were alternatives to invading Iraq that would have led to Saddam’s ouster. Maybe instead of making up stories about yellowcake and just plain making stuff up, we should have considered those alternatives first.

Nothing succeeds like over 2 million internal refugees, plus over 2 million external refugees, plus well over 100,000 dead in Iraq (I believe the number to be far higher than 100,000; I included that number because I know you can’t argue with it. The other two numbers are not in dispute).

Yeah, victory is ours. I’m sure we’ll still be saying that when the next president is still trying to patch up this mess.

  17. It’s so nice to know that we won,,, so when I take my son in law back from leave next Thursday so he can report in for redeployment to Iraq I can rest easy knowing they are just sending him back there for a little R&R.

Maybe you can fool some people into believing your dung, but you can’t fool the people who have family over there and know it’s not over yet.

  18. “A little mopping up and we can move on dot com.”

Funny, the U.S. has been saying that for four years now. When, exactly, will it finally be over?
