This Is What Abortion Does

Lisa MontgomeryThis story shocked me to my core.  It will shock you too.

A Missouri woman who was strangled by an acquaintance probably regained consciousness as the attacker sliced into her abdomen to steal her unborn baby, a pathologist testified Friday.

What?!?

Bobbie Jo Stinnett likely blacked out after being choked from behind with a rope but began struggling again when her attacker loosened the rope to begin cutting into her belly, said Mary Case, the chief medical examiner for St. Louis County, Missouri.

“There is evidence that she regained consciousness while the incision was made in her abdomen,” Case testified.

Lisa Montgomery, 39, is accused of strangling Stinnett and then using a kitchen knife to carve the baby from her womb.

Montgomery, who had been faking a pregnancy, then tried to pass the baby off as her own.

Unbelievable.  But the Lord intervened.

The baby, Victoria Jo, was found safe a day later at Montgomery’s home on December 17, 2004.

Now nearly three years later, she is doing fine but does not know what really happened to her mother, her father testified Thursday.

Montgomery’s lawyers have conceded that she killed Stinnett but are arguing that she is so mentally unbalanced that she did not understand that it was wrong.

And she deserves what any abortionist should get for interfering with a pregnancy.

Prosecutors plan to seek the death penalty if she is found guilty.

This is what happens when we as a society treat life as a commodity, as so much meat, rather than as something precious given to us by G-d.  I say throw the book at her.  What say you?

  1. This was a henious crime to be sure, but how was this abortion? Montgomery is obviously mentally deranged, but it sounds to me like her objective was to keep the baby & be it’s mother, not kill it in the birth mother’s womb.

  3. The “right” to abortion on demand cheapens life and makes the unthinkable acceptable. I thought I made this clear. Perhaps I did not.

  4. Abortion is killing an unborn child, this was not abortion or even an attempted abortion, this was murder to steal a baby. The jury is still out on when a fetus becomes a person and when it is ok to abort and not ok to abort. Myself, I believe that the moment of conception is the moment of new life. So to abort at any time after conception is murdering an unborn child, and taking from the world what could have been a wonderful life.

[Ed Note: About conception, you got that right. Welcome to the land of the sane and moral, Arn. Glad you could join us!]

  5. I´ll give you a hint: It isn´t called abortion if it´s against the will of the mother. It´s called murder in that case.

The “right” to abortion on demand cheapens life and makes the unthinkable acceptable. I thought I made this clear. Perhaps I did not.

Tell me how much a cheap handgun and 1 bullet cost in your country. That´s the value of a life in your country.

I´ll retain my personal position: ABortion is only viable if the mother´s life is in danger. In any other case, just give the toddler free for an adoption.

  6. Abortion doesn’t kill, unaborted babies do. Idiot.

Lets look at all the killers in the world. Did their moms have an abortion? No, look what happened. Hitler kills millions of Jews.

  11. Ok, so I don’t really have a side in this,,, I retain most of my thoughts on abortion for myself, but Mugen, if I read you correctly you are saying that we should abort babies to prevent them from killing others when they grow up.

Now there’s a direct route to extinction that I never thought of.

  12. That woman should be publicly executed, and all the townspeople should be forced to observe this execution as a reminder of what we do to abortionists. Stinnett will hopefully submit herself to her husband next time. Also, it is significant to note that every single abortion has been partaken by round earthers. We NEED morality! Sam Brownback ’08!

  13. i got a kick out of this. this is obviously a troll.

how can the baby even live when its being carved out, and with a kitchen knife some more. And you intend to let a premature baby live without proper medical equips?

    Very funny.

  14. Actually, NS, believe it or not, the child did indeed survive and was named Victoria Jo Stinnett. She will be four this December. There’s nothing funny about this story. How callous can you be?

I suppose this is also what abortion does: it densensitizes its advocates to the point that they jest about the unborn being “carved out.” How sad.

  20. 1) you are claiming some madwoman faked prgenancy.
    2) you continue to say that she kocked a woman out and did caesarean section to get the baby out

3)the c-section is done with a kitchen knife, which is big and bulky and likely to hit/cut the foetus too if done incorrectly.

    4) with the above statement, are we trying to say that the woman is a surgeon?

5)premature infants is known to cause 10% or infant mortality. this percentage of dying increases as no particular medical care available.( she couldn’t possibly go to one after doing such a act, that would promise a jail term). so how in the world did the baby actually grow up w/o under medical care?

    6) premature infants are more susceptible to illness and other dieases. w/o medical care, are we trying to say that she survived so much illnesses w/o any medicine?note that over the counter drugs is not useful for serious infections like
    meningitis.

    7) why are ppl even talking about abortion. this is merely someone attempting c-section to extract a premature baby. what’s that got to do with abortion?

    8) is there a link to the real news? is the news even validated?if not so, lpease do not claim it to be true.

  22. NS, I will examine your comment point-by-point:

“1) you are claiming some madwoman faked prgenancy.[sic]”

Well, a sane woman certainly wouldn’t have done it. Crazy people do all sorts of things that sane people would never do. That’s why we call them crazy in the first place.

“2) you continue to say that she kocked[sic] a woman out and did caesarean section to get the baby out”

Again, fits the whole “insane” description, doesn’t it? As bizarre as this is, I am willing to withhold judgment on this aspect of the story until it is conclusively proven or disproven. After all, there have been more bizarre crimes committed in this country…

“3)the c-section is done with a kitchen knife, which is big and bulky and likely to hit/cut the foetus too if done incorrectly.”

Depends on how skilled you are with a knife. Insanity affects the mind, not the dexterity of the hands. This is indeed risky, but who’s to say the perp didn’t practice first?

“4) with the above statement, are we trying to say that the woman is a surgeon?”

What are you implying here? Surgeons are no more or less likely to become insane than anyone else. But really, it doesn’t take a medical degree to figure out where the baby is.

“5)premature infants is known to cause 10% or infant mortality. this percentage of dying increases as no particular medical care available.( she couldn’t possibly go to one after doing such a act, that would promise a jail term). so how in the world did the baby actually grow up w/o under medical care?”

We don’t know how premature the baby was. After 36 weeks, an infant is generally able to survive just fine on its own, without special medical attention. Just keep it warm, bathe it ASAP, and it will be fine. Also, your first sentence is shockingly incoherent.

“6) premature infants are more susceptible to illness and other dieases.[sic] w/o medical care, are we trying to say that she survived so much illnesses w/o any medicine?note that over the counter drugs is not useful for serious infections like meningitis.”

See previous statement. A 21-week fetus is far more susceptible to infection than a 36-week fetus. Also, just because a disease is usually fatal, does not mean it is always fatal.

“7) why are ppl[sic] even talking about abortion.[You need a question mark here, not a period.] this is merely someone attempting c-section to extract a premature baby. what’s that got to do with abortion?”

I believe the implication is that denying the sanctity of life in the case of the fetus somehow correlates to accepting the sanctity of a fetus’s life, but not the mother’s. This is not a logical connection; however, it is true that all life should be respected, especially human life.
