Kathy Griffin: Militant Atheist

Filed under: Hollyweird,War on Christianity — Psycheout @ 5:48 pm

Kathy GriffinZ-list far left “comedienne” Kathy Griffin exemplifies the militant atheists who want to banish Christianity from our nation. She should just shut up. We don’t usually tolerate potty language here at B4B, but there’s no way to tell this story without highlighting her horrid hate speech. If you are easily offended by those who hate the baby Jesus, avert your eyes.

This nobody won an emmy and used the platform to express her deep-seated hatred of religion. It’s disgusting and shocking, but it is typical of militant atheism.

“A lot of people come up here and thank Jesus for this. He had nothing to do with this,” Griffin said. “Suck it, Jesus. This award is my God now.”

Bill Donohue of the Catholic League was quick to respond.

“In an interview with Houston’s gay magazine, OutSmart, Griffin described herself as a ‘complete militant atheist.’ Unfortunately, her kind of vulgar in-your-face brand of hate speech found a receptive audience on Saturday: The Hollywood Reporter says her foul remark ‘drew laughs.’

[…]

“It is sure bet that if Griffin had said, ‘Suck it, Muhammad,’ there would have been a very different reaction from the crowd and from the media who covered this event. To say nothing of the Muslim reaction.”

She wouldn’t dare. But attacking Christians and insulting Jesus is just fine with atheists. Why is that?

It turns out that her vicious comments will not be broadcast which is a good thing. This is still a Christian nation after all. But perhaps it would be better if militant atheists like Griffin were exposed for all the world to see. I guess we’ll never know. Yet Hollywood is full of people like Griffin who hate Christianity and would like to see it banished from our nation and delight in ridiculing our deeply held beliefs.

One thing is certain: attacks on Christianity should not be tolerated and atheists should not be allowed to recruit young people into their evil ranks. Let’s keep America Christian. It is our nation and our birthright.

Update: Atheists of a feather flock together.  Militant atheist PZ Meyers gushes “Kathy Griffin is my new hero.”  In the mind of Christ haters attacking Jesus is somehow heroic. I guess Osama bin Laden drops to number two.  Better luck next time, terrorist.

  1. Well then it looks like PZ Meyer’s prize wife might start worrying because PZ might be trading her in for Katty Griffen. The marriage will be romantic, they can exchange their vows before a statue of a monkey while burning Bibles.

So where is your proof that atheists are evil? Are the prison filled with atheists? No! In fact atheists make up only 0.5% of the prison population even though they represent 10-20% (or more) of the population as a whole.

Our country a Christian Nation!?!? Our nation was founded by an assemblage of great thinkers that were Christians, deists and atheists who knew full well that government should be completely and utterly seperate from religion. When a vote was taken to include specifically Christian references to the Constitution, it was OVERWHELMINGLY defeated in favor of secular/deistic references.

It would seem that many from this site and other fundamentalist groups would prefer to turn our country, once a beacon of liberty and freedom, into a theocracy. If you think that a Christian theocracy would be indistinguishable from an islamic theocracy . . . then you need to think harder.

  3. Mike, you have to understand the psychology of the religious extremist. They think that everything outside their small understanding of life is not only a threat, but something worthy of a conquest to eradicate it from the earth. Therefore, if they can’t understand somebody else’s beliefs, they are automatically evil, as well as the person following them. Unfortunate for those who have to live in close proximity to them, and even moreso the Americans who got suckered into what has devolved into religious conflict.

  4. What’s there to understand Adam and Matt; by claiming the Jesus had nothing to do with her getting that award Kathy Griffin has gone around and slapped each and every American of faith in the face. While she was at see could have just as well put on a KKK robes and lynched a priest while having gay sex with some guy. Being an atheist is not excuse for saying as something as vile and offensive as Kate did.

  5. Oh so suddenly making slurs about your god is totally unacceptble, but all your attacks against those who don’t share your faith are excusable and proper? Can you spell hypocrite?

  7. She didn’t make a slur about God Adam, she refused to thank Him for the award He caused to be bestowed on her and then mocked Him for doing it. That’s sleazy and ungrateful for even and atheist. I don’t see how it would hurt you atheist for giving thanks to God for the good things He has done for you.

Whaaaaaaat!! Please dwell on what you said and let me know when you realize how ridiculous it is.

btw: I thought the whole thing was funny, I personally wouldn’t have said “Suck it Jesus” though.

  11. Happy Clam,
I cannot tell if you are being satirical or not. If you are then it is funny. If you are not, then I do not see how stopping thinking is in any way virtuous or wise.

  14. Is that what Dr Dawkins teaches you atheists Adam, how to be an ungrateful, spoiled brat? Is someone gives you something nice you say thank you or the person will stop giving it.

Being an atheist doesn’t mean you have to be rude.

Mike, God dosen’t want you to think, He wants you to believe in HIM. All this thinking…what does it get you?

    You seem so sad.

I am happy I am a clam who loves Jesus and who is sure that GOD loves me.

  16. BJ, I don’t thank things I don’t believe exist.

Clam, “he” can want all he wishes, but if he REALLY wanted me to believe in him, he’d just make it so. And by the way, thinking gets me a lot of happiness, much more than blind chanting would.
