How To Mislead with a Single Photo

Whoop! Whoop!Apparently The Drudge Report is anti-Brownback. Drudge has the following on his front page:

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A POLITICIAN GOES TO NEW HAMPSHIRE: AND NO ONE SHOWS UP...

Har har, guffaw guffaw. I guess it’s all over for Sam Brownback! Hmmm? Wait a minute….

In Brownback’s defense, I was at the event and the photo was taken after most students had left because they had to make their 1:00 classes.

Oh. Apparently the photo was taken after the speech was already over and Sam Brownback was wrapping up the question and answer period. And this speech didn’t take place just anywhere in New Hampshire; it was at Saint Anselm College where, gasp, the audience actually has classes to attend.

But who needs facts when a picture can be taken out of context for a cheap joke? Who needs a discussion of the important issues facing our nation? Who needs to think about anything at all?  Certainly not Matt Drudge.

People who get their “news” from Drudge get what they pay for.

Matt DrudgeNow, let’s see if we can pull a “Drudge” on li’l Matty. Ahem. Matt Drudge describes his reader’s average intelligence. Or Matt Drudge demonstrates how much integrity he has. Or Matt Drudge illustrates the size of his, well, you get the picture.  Well done, Sludge!

  2. Et tu, Brute?

Slander posts are bad! Always bad, without exception! …except when Sisyphus creates derogatory and “clever” puns. Good show!

  4. Brownback won big in the debate. He’s pretty much sewed up this race. Ron Paul totally blew.

    [Ed Note: Agreed!]

  7. Censorship is the sign of a weak and afraid totalitarian regime that is losing its grip on its supporters.

  9. Here’s the ultracon creed: when the poll results don’t promote your man, they’re fake; when they do, they’re the only genuine evidence.
