Quite awhile back, B4B reported that not even Rudy Giuliani’s son was willing to support Rudy. Well, it seems Rudy’s daughter isn’t supporting daddy either. In fact, according to news reports, she only has eyes for Osama Obama!
Rudolph W. Giuliani’s daughter, Caroline, has done her best to keep out of the spotlight as her father runs for president, choosing to keep complicated family matters private. And for his part, Mr. Giuliani has tried to shield both her and his son, Andrew, from attention.
This is simply because, as B4B has noted, neither support America’s Mayor‘s bid for President. You can bet if they did, Rudy would have them out front and center. But they do not — that’s why he “shields” them. “Hides” them would be more accurate.
On her profile in Facebook, the popular online social networking site, Ms. Giuliani, 17, listed her political views as “liberal” and noted her membership in a group called “Barack Obama (One Million Strong for Barack).”
As word of her supposed Democratic allegiances ricocheted across the Internet after the online magazine Slate broke the news, visitors to her profile found that she had already moved to alter history. She quit the Obama fan club at 6:01 a.m. and, after Slate posted their article, she took down her entire page.
I bet daddy had a friendly little chat with his young progeny. She will likely continue doing her boosting for Barack more privately for a time.
Mr. Giuliani, whose strained relationship with his children has been widely reported, alluded to his daughter’s differing political outlook during a campaign stop in Iowa, noting, apparently with regret, that his children “don’t work on my campaign.”
“My daughter, my daughter I love very much, I have great respect for her and I’m really proud of her,” he said. “I don’t comment on children because I want to give them the maximum degree of privacy.”
“Because the ingrates don’t support their own father,” he added under his breath.
Somehow I doubt Rudy’s ex-wives are very enthusiastic about Rudy Giuliani’s Presidential run, either. If even his own family won’t support him, why should we?
