Victory!

Die, terrorist scumbags!

Pakistani commandos cleared the warren-like Red Mosque complex of all its die-hard defenders Wednesday, following an assault that ended a bloody eight-day siege and left more than 80 dead, including a pro-Taliban cleric.

Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad said the compound was still being combed for mines, booby traps and other weaponry.

“The first phase of the operation is over. There are no more militants left inside,” Arshad said in a telephone interview.

Set the flag of Islamism at half mast. Set the treefrog flag at half mast, too, since apparently Kumbaya-singing granola-crunchers have a problem with killing bad guys. I guess that means this is a dark day for San Francisco, but decent Americans celebrate the victory of our Pakistani allies in the War on Terror.

  1. Hell has 80 new occupants! I just hope that their suffering was long and slow. Score another one for Jesus Christ and America! Praise the Lord!

  3. Nothing would make the enemy within, the sandal wearing dirty hippies who support nutballs like Sindy Shehag, than total unconditional surrender — of us! Never going to happen, terrorsymps.

So bow your heads in solidarity with the bombthrowers. They’re roasting in hell now.

  4. One mosque cleared, another 20 terrorist hideouts spawned. What a “victory”.

  5. I have no problem with the killing of bad guys. I have a problem with people going “HEE HEE HEE! People are dead! YAAAAAY!” My reaction is more along the line of “Well, it had to be done. *sigh*.”

  6. Exactly, Salmo. God felt terrible when he flooded the world. He never, EVER revels in the killings he committed. Killing is never right, but in acts of pure self-preservation it is the only choice, and even then you should respect the life you took. Gleefully cheering that other life has ended shows your total lack of compassion for people.

  7. I mourn that so many of those people died without having ever having rejected hatred. I do hope that this development will ultimately result in a safer world, but am very, very sad that a safer world seems impossible to achieve without bloodshed. What has gone wrong with our humanity?

  8. Lyssie, that’s exactly the way people should feel about all the bloodshed. Though it may be necessary to guarantee our safety, I infinitely regret that it has come to killings, and mourn the dead equally regardless of creed or beliefs. For example, I think Gaines-Crockett is entirely backward and ignorant, but I would regret her death just as much as I would any other person I barely know — that is to say, quite a bit.

  9. Kill them all! Now that these terrorists are dead, we should nuke the rest of them. It’s the only way to make them understand 9/11. Their evil, wicked actions have consequences, not just for them but for all their people.
