Part 2 of the Six Mitt-Flops in Six Weeks (try saying that 10 times real fast) is up over at The Daily Brownbacker. And it’s about taxes. As you will see, Mitt really flips for taxes, that’s why he’d be a flop as President. See also Part 1, on Second Amendment rights (guns).
Go read the whole thing. I’ll skip to the conclusion:
“Mitt Romney’s record on taxes suggests that he values political expediency over protecting taxpayers,” said John Rankin, Iowa communications director of Brownback for President. “Romney’s appeasement of liberals like Rep. Barney Frank in Massachusetts is embarrassing to our party and shows that he lacks the will to fight tax-hiking Democrats in Washington.”
Rankin added: “Senator Brownback proudly voted for the Bush tax cuts and fought for them in Congress. Unlike Mitt Romney, Senator Brownback has always been a friend of the taxpayer and has a proven record of fighting tax-and-spend Democrats in Washington, not appeasing them like Romney has.”
If you like an incomprehensible approach to taxes and more flip-flops than are in John F. Kerry’s sandal collection, support Flipper [Willard] Mitt Romney. But if you prefer a sane approach to taxes and fiscal policy, as well as respect for life and family values, the choice couldn’t be any clearer. Support Senator Brownback for the GOP nomination. There’s no other rational choice.
