Time for John McCain To Cut and Run

John McCain’s campaign continues to fall apart at the seams. Stick a fork in him. He’s done. Race 4 2008 has the details in McCain Shuts Michigan, Florida Campaign Offices; Cuts IA, NH, and SC Teams.

Marc Ambinder has the scoop on McCain’s campaign in Michigan, where McCain cut all of his paid staffers except for state director John Yob and closed up his campaign office. McCain is now reportedly relying entirely on volunteers to maintain a presence in the state.

At the same time, the Miami Herald has the scoop on McCain closing down operations in Florida as well, where “[a] cash crunch has forced Republican John McCain to gut his presidential campaign” in the state. The only paid staffer remaining in Florida will be McCain’s state finance director.

The punch line?

It’s hard to see how McCain can regain momentum after a run of bad stories like these, especially with the major meme from the media being that McCain’s chances are over.

Exactly. This is McCrazy’s last chance and his last dance. He will never become President. The fat lady is singing. Perhaps McLame should turn up his hearing aid. They’re playing his song.

  1. Hey Psycheout, how about posting something useful instead of the usual “four legs good (Brownback), two legs baaaad! (everybody else)” crap you always throw on this blog?

  2. Adam, this is a pro-Brownback blog. Its purpose is to point out the strengths of Brownback and the weaknesses of the other candidates. This is a political blog which focusses on the upcoming election.

What would you have me do? Write posts about water nymphs and tree fairies?

What part of “Blogs 4 Brownback” is confusing to you?

(Besides, everyone knows it’s “Four legs good, two legs better.”)

  3. Rudy and Mitt won’t be far behind. Real Republicans are starting to see who the real Republicans are. It’s Sam’s time!

  4. Maura, you’re 100% right. That’s what I’ve been trying to say. Welcome to B4B.

  5. Focusses? Focusses!? Did I just see you type that?? You DO know that only the British spell Focusses with two “s”s, and Americans spell it with only one s?

  6. It really is sad to see Mr. Nelson reaching so hard when he has such short arms. Dance, monkey, dance.

Standard English usually requires one to double the consonant to protect the vowel. “Focussed” or “focused” can be spelled both ways, moron. “Focused” looks like fok-ew-sed to me. Fitting, since every time I read one of your comments, I think to myself, “ewww.”

  7. The English language is set up to break every rule it has. There is an exception to every rule (including this one). Also, rules change with time. Psycheout, you probably don’t look at Adam’s posts and say “ewww” because of grammar; it’s probably because you don’t agree with him, and despite something that looked like you could be reasonable yesterday, crawl back in your shell.

  10. I wonder who’s side God is on now? He’s like Charleton Heston in some stupid soap opera: so melodramatic, keeping us in rapt attention with each shocking new twist!

  11. GOD is on AMERICA’S side, ADAM, so LEARN from HIS example!!

  12. “GOD is on AMERICA’S side”

That’s what you say, now prove it to us.

  13. LOL! God is on America’s side. What a vain little statement. I’m sure God was on America’s side when it lost Vietnam, or when history repeats itself and America is currently losing Iraq.

It must be so reassuring to you to repeat to yourself over and over again, “God is on OUR side, not the dirty Muslims!!” I’m sure God will be on Brownback’s side when he drops out.

  14. I don’t know much about God but I’m sure He,s not at all like Charlton Heston – Nicholoson maybe.
