My Personal Retort to the Denver Post

(Addressed to the author of this nonsense.)

I’m not a spoof. That’s the standard leftist talking point- anyone who disagrees with them must be doing so in bad faith. The liberal religion brooks no heresy. Either one is with them, or one is only pretending to oppose them.

Their dishonesty knows no bounds. They want to force our children to embrace Copernicanism, Darwinism, and covert forms of Marxism; yet anyone who points out that these ideologies are in direct contrast to Christianity and the American experiment is a liar or a spoofer by simple virtue of their opposition to liberalism. The mendacity of these loons is matched only by their anti-Americanism.

Should their candidates succeed, America will be left to the tender mercies of the terrorists. Osama Bin Laden will extract a humiliating peace treaty granting him sultanship. Ahmedinajabad will drive the Kurds into the Caspian Sea. Sarkozy will dine in the White House. Countless thousands of American troops will perish in costly, humiliating, and unnecessary retreats. And our global reputation will be in tatters as every ragtag band of malcontents across the globe realizes they can take us on, and win.

Senator Brownback understands all this. He also understands that the weakening of our childrens’ minds in school is the first step in fomenting the defeatism that makes America’s destruction possible. Senator Brownback understands that many of his views on this subject are not fit for exposure to the liberal media. After all, one does not cast pearls before swine. After his electoral victory, he will make good on them. Until then, stealth and subtlety are in order. We, his followers, are the propogators of his views. We are not bound by the necessity of discretion; nor are we obligated to bow and scrape before the leftist journalists controlling the American media establishment despite the obvious conservative bent of the nation. We are the vanguard of the Brownback campaign. We clear the path on which he shall tread to triumph.

I thank you for your time.

  3. Excellent post. It reminded me of this quote:
“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they attack you, then you win.”
I hate to muddy your fine words with those of a noted pinko, M. Gandi, but sometimes even a blind squirrel…

Now, technically, that is true. You are not a spoof. Agreed.

  10. “Who’ll be laughing at the inauguration of President Brownback. They won’t.”

That’s true. There will never be an inauguration of a President Brownback. Well, I don’t want to so blatantly state that. It’s not a very common name, but surely there may someday be an electable person named Brownback running. But not this time. He’s not even going to win the primary. Heck, he’s not even going to finish the primary race, unless he decides to do like Kucinich and stay in long after he’s lost all hope of winning, going to sad little ‘rallies’ of twenty people or less.

There are rules about coordination between grassroots organizations and campaigns. It’s complicated but it has to do with campaign spending and the like.
I’m not even a poster here and I’ve already been contacted by the campaign through back channels (they were so good at keeping up the ruse that they weren’t part of the campaign that they even had real looking FBI badges!).
In so many words, they, essentially, thanked me for my diligent support.

  17. Did you notice the name of the author? Karen E. Crummy. Sounds like a fake name to me.

I sent an email to the Brownback campaign months ago informing them of the outreach work being done by Students for Brownback and Blogs 4 Brownback.

    As for this:

Brownback spokesman John Rankin, who didn’t know about the blog sites until told by a reporter, declined to comment.

I noticed there are no quote marks anywhere in that sentence. That tells you all you need to know. I wonder if the Brownback campaign was even contacted.

I mean, you are not a spoof, in the same way that I am not a Broadway Musical.

People cannot be spoofs, but websites can be. Check out Landover; it’s obviously a spoof. But the people behind it are not spoofs; they’re hilarious comedians.

Similarly, you cannot be a spoof, but things you do can be. Michael Palin is not a spoof, but he wrote a lot of spoofs. He’s a spoofer (among other things).

You are not a spoof; on that point, we agree completely.

    Comment by MikeM — July 6, 2007 @ 2:20 pm | Reply

  25. MikeM, like every single Liberal I ever met, you just talk in circles to take the attention off of the fact that you support a morally bankrupt political party. Your guilt gets the better of you and you think it makes you feel better to spend your afternoon making up lies about decent people. Well, I have news for you, it isn’t working. You are still just as miserable as you were this morning.

Take your troubles to the Lord and/or a good psychologist who specializes in treatment for people suffering from Liberalism on the brain.

  26. The very fact that you describe a political viewpoint as a mental illness just shows how very much like Hitler you are. Hitler used the same excuse when killing Jews, calling Jewishness a mental illness. Your black-and-white absolutism is far more morally bankrupt than Liberalism.

  28. Leave it to the left who enabled Hitler’s rise to compare people they disagree with to Hitler. Sigh.

Thank goodness Franklin Roosevelt didn’t listen to your kind.

  29. The LEFT enabled Hitler’s rise? No no, you’ve got it all wrong. It was the conservatives who wanted a traditional, prosperous Germany that focused on “family” values and a world domination-esque foreign policy (sounds exactly like you!). Conservatives who love the good ol’ cult of personality, just like you guys and Lord Brownback for the US of God (how laughable is that!?)

  30. Hitler belonged to the National Socialist Party. Socialists are leftists. Ergo, Hitler and his supporters were leftists.

Getting back on topic, why am I not surprised that nobody from the Denver Post rag including its crummy reporter, Karen E. Crummy, bothered to contact us for this story?

That’s left-wing smear journalism at its best!

  31. “Hitler belonged to the National Socialist Party. Socialists are leftists. Ergo, Hitler and his supporters were leftists.”

And Nationalists are rightists. And Nazis are, too. The party was founded as an anti-Marxist group, and Hitler rose to power by exploiting fears of communism.

  32. “I’m not a spoof. That’s the standard leftist talking point- anyone who disagrees with them must be doing so in bad faith. The liberal religion brooks no heresy. Either one is with them, or one is only pretending to oppose them.”

There is no liberal religion. Most liberals in the USA are afaik christians.

“Their dishonesty knows no bounds. The mendacity of these loons is matched only by their anti-Americanism.”

Except that they use something called reasoning unlike someone who just makes assumptions and points his finger around like you…

“Should their candidates succeed, America will be left to the tender mercies of the terrorists. And our global reputation will be in tatters as every ragtag band of malcontents across the globe realizes they can take us on, and win.”

Except that the liberals would never give the power to bin Laden. And having Sarkozy dine in the White House… What´s bad about trying to restore the good relationship with France?

“Senator Brownback understands all this. He also understands that the weakening of our childrens’ minds in school is the first step in fomenting the defeatism that makes America’s destruction possible. SO, instead of winning fair and square, you have to resort to silencing the opposition as you´re unable to win otherwise. Very REPUBLICAN. Very unlike anything told by any follower of Democracy.

“Hitler belonged to the National Socialist Party. Socialists are leftists. Ergo, Hitler and his supporters were leftists.”

Name´s aren´t important. The whole ideology and all political programms of the NSDAP were showing what it really was: Far Right! Everyone knows this here, almost everyone on the planet knows it, hell even today´s extreme right-wingers say it!

My point is that secularism is a de facto cult.

“Except that the liberals would never give the power to bin Laden. And having Sarkozy dine in the White House… What´s bad about trying to restore the good relationship with France?”

Perhaps you forget that video I posted a while back. Who would want to befriend such a perverse people?

“SO, instead of winning fair and square, you have to resort to silencing the opposition as you´re unable to win otherwise.”

They do it to us, too. When was the last time the moonbat media ever aired a real conservative viewpoint? (I’m not talking about RINOs like Andrew Sullivan, I mean true conservatives.)

  37. “My point is that secularism is a de facto cult.”

Yet there are secularists that are christians at the same time…

And of course, it seems like all your founding fathers were secularists. Or waht´s the reason that the US congress under president Washington accepted the signing of the Treaty of Tripoli (Which states that the USA “are in no way a christian country”.) without even one voice speaking out against it? Yeah, right, the treaty was acceppted by congress in unison!

“Perhaps you forget that video I posted a while back. Who would want to befriend such a perverse people?”

Perhaps because of their influence in the Eu, their importance to the US economy (billions in exports!) or the fact that you´re friends on historical terms? (Statue of Liberty…)
Concerning Iraq: Who´s your friend? Someone just acting on your order to get a reward? That´s a brown-noser.
Or someone telling you that it´s a bad idea and will end the way it did end now? That´s a true friend.

“They do it to us, too. When was the last time the moonbat media ever aired a real conservative viewpoint? (I’m not talking about RINOs like Andrew Sullivan, I mean true conservatives.)”

Not airing doesn´t mean fiorbidding them to speak in the first place. i hardly know any liberal who wants to deny someone the right of free speech because he´s from the other side. Thanks to your site, I know a lot of “republicans” that do.
And even if it were true, aren´t you, as the “good guys”, supposed to stand above such petty tactics?
