Looks like Al Gore’s son takes after the rest of the Democrat Party.
Al Gore’s son was arrested early Wednesday on suspicion of possessing marijuana and prescription drugs after deputies pulled him over for speeding, authorities said.
Al Gore III, 24, was driving a blue Toyota Prius about 100 mph on the San Diego Freeway when he was pulled over at about 2:15 a.m., Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jim Amormino said.
The deputies said they smelled marijuana and searched the car, Amormino said. They found less than an ounce of marijuana along with Xanax, Valium, Vicodin and Adderall, which is used for attention deficit disorder, he said.
Like father, like son. Meanwhile, America celebrates her birthday, and the Democrats decide to “honor” that by defiling their bodies and endangering the lives of other motorists. I think incidents like this highlight which party is run by the adults around here, and which is run by man-children heathens intent on their own sinful pleasure no matter the cost to society.

While I do not condone drug use outside of a doctors office, or with a med student, I feel sorry for the young lad.
Obviously being forced to drive a Prius because you father’s fat bloated-ass farts are causing some sort of climate change, more likely a general stinky smell all over the world rather than global warming, has, in the end, driven him to hide his shame in drugs rather than face the truth of his big fat electricity using, jet fuel burning lying sack of slag father is the real cause of destruction in this world.

There the children go again. When will liberals learn. The way a True American respects and pays homage to America is by respecting the rule of law and the jury system. Our Fearless Leader, George Bush (still a mere mortal compared to soon to be President Brownback) knows how to respect the law while still making sure he shows his respect to loyal friends. That’s how it’s done libs. Of course if drugs are your loyal friends then maybe you should re-evaluate your lifestyle and perhaps your citizenship.

Well, Ronny and Nancy were stone alcoholics. Nancy used to cry herself to sleep, sometimes in her own vomit. Laura sold pot in her college days and of course ran over and killed someone while in a drugfiend rush to get somewhere. There are photos of the twins partying at discos, but I say as long as they maintain their abstinence pledges, a little wild drinking and driving never hurt anyone (except whomever it was their mother killed.)
Chelsea Clinton, on the other had, is so dried up that nothing ever happens to her. She is not a model child; she only acts like one. All the Demon-o-crats are immoral anyway, that’s why they believe in godless socialized medicine and social security pay-outs.
That’s why Gore’s kid did what he did; he’s a commie. I think the reason for all this is because Republicans are family people and church people and they bring up their kids to live right and go to church and run corporations, where there are a lot of stresses, hence the drinking and driving and killing.

-Like to provide for college education in the form of grants and scholarships for all the kiddies today in America.
-Insert Liberal thought here [generally]. Aside from the moral issues (abortion, gay marriage, etc.) and the race stuff (affirmative action), there is the government role. Government should provide welfare, social security, housing (when needed…like after Katrina…and the government wasn’t ready), protection of rights without bias to race, gender, or social class. More equal representation in government. Medical care. (It goes on, but I’ll be brief with all these.)
-The Democratic party is split three ways when it comes to same-sex marriage. 1) For legalized marriage 2) For civil unions 3) AGAINST it!
-They are also split on abortion. 1) For it 2) AGAINST it!
-Against torture. (Duh.)
Republican:
-Believe in Liberal economics (No, I’m not even kidding. In general, Republicans are for liberal economics. Just as in general, Democrats are for Liberal Economics.) Also, supply-side economics is a fan of Regan’s. (Something of Fiscal Policy)
-Take “conservative” and insert. Remember that Conservatives wish governmetn to have little responsibility for those under that government. Conservatives are friends of big business–not the people. Less rights are a conservative deal. In other words, less representation in government is what it comes out to.
-Protect gun rights. (yea, it’s the liberals/Democrats that are more for that gun control/restriction)
-Against abortion and gay-marriage (in general)
-For adult stem cell research. (Very much so I am. Adult and Embryonic are two WAY different things)
-Heavy military/strong national defense.
-Split party with illegal immigration. 1) Throw them back 2) Make them citizens.
Third Parties: This is where you ignorant people fall.
These are your extremists and various small groups that will never hold the presidency, Congress majority, or American majority.

But actually there wasn’t any alcohol in his bloodstream. I’m not sure if he was smoking pot, but marijuana is not scientifically shown to alter motor function significantly, anyway. Actually, besides alcohol, road rage kills more drivers a year than any drug. So you’re probably more dangerous when you see a “Pro Life” bumper stickers
It’s probably good that you clarify on your front page that you are not affiliated with the Brownback campaign, because something tells me he’d be less than thrilled about getting stuck with an uninformed (yet vocal) radical on his side. If you followed politics, instead of just asking your priest which guy hates gay people the most, you’d know that lately politicians have avoided taking the cheap shots you’re taking at Al Gore, because everyone knows that eventually their own kids will mess up, too. If we did go tit for tat, we’d find that someone’s views on tax policy and immigration will not make him any more or less likely to break the law. Our own Republican President (Rep) and Vice President (Rep) have three D.U.I.s between them. (You say Bush learned from his mistake, but why did Cheney have to make his TWICE?) Ted Kennedy (Dem) got drunk and drove his car off a bridge. Bill Clinton (Dem) smoked pot in college. Both of Bush’s daughters have been arrested for alcohol-related irresponsibility, and his niece (Jeb’s daughter) was sent to rehab after her botched attempt to forge a prescription at the pharmacy to feed her addiction. Etc., etc.

I freely admit I have less love for Our President, George Bush, than others here may have but it is only because I feel he has gotten lost in his mission to bring God back into the public square and the courthouses and legislative buildings around this Great Nation. Senator Brownback will not fail where President Bush has.
One thing President Brownback won’t forget is that God is All. I was six when I saw that everything was God…My sister was only a very tiny child then, and she was drinking her milk, and all of a sudden I saw that she was God and the milk was God. I mean, all she was doing was pouring God into God.
All of the Haliburton’s, old friends, oil companies, hippies, liberals and not snitching in the world will dissuade President Brownback. Of that I am sure.

OH…why didn’t you just say that in the first place? Knowing about Government, Politics, and Economics is not a distraction. It’s a benefit. Considering this is a blog that revolves around politics (or it’s suppose to, but it looks like name-calling to me) it would be something useful for you to know. If you knew anything of the matter you would know that what you wish for politically is impossible. The founding fathers set up government so that people like you couldn’t do the sorts of things that some mention here (examples later-I’m keepin’ it short) It’s not like the Bible is against education/learning different things. Jesus was a carpenter. That takes a lot of Math. He did that for the first thirty years of his life. Also, would you not want people in political positions to know of Government politics, and Economics? Otherwise they are not capable of their job. You could say that such knowledge is evil but then that leaves incompetence in government. Do you see the problem here? Knowing things is good. It benefits you. Understand? What I call for is not distraction but a call for you to leave ignorance… The Bible is against ignorance by the way.

God provides and through his benevolence has made me materially rich (if you are into such things. I think it a sin to dwell on though). God has also provided for His child, Senator Brownback, to be in a position to be the next Great President of the United States.
The Founding Fathers disagreed and came up with a compromise. The Islamic radicals have shown us that the time for compromising is over.

See…this is why knowing politics and government would help you. Brownback has no chance at being the next president. I could also care less if one is materially rich or not. It means nothing to me. They didn’t compromise on that…if you knew History you would gather that much as well. The founding fathers compomised when it came to representation (the reason we have the Senate AND the House of Reps). When it came to extremists that would take over government and try to impose it on everyone else, they were all for protecting America from. (See the Bill of Rights Amendment One Freedom of Religion). They just fought a war to get away from oppressors of the sort…why would they start a country up with the same crap? No, they learned from past experience.
Those Islamic radicals are a perfect example of government run by religion.

No one is going to stone me….and my views of America and my views on God have not changed the entire time I’ve been here. I don’t remember saying anything up there that says I support your views. From what I’ve seen here I don’t. I still think you are ignorant. Extremely ignorant…and I’m becoming more and more convinced that you read with your eyes closed and have automated responses for these blogs.

La Mona, they use God as their excuse to ignorance. They think that if they deny the use of God’s gifts to us, that God loves them more. Do you think God is happy that he took the time to give you an inquisitive mind that you fail to use yourself? Is that how you value God’s gifts: you let them rot, and go in the complete opposite direction?? You are the ones spitting in God’s face.

I’ve told them that before too. 🙂 I missed you, lol. It was very lonely. Carsick isn’t a great conversation buddy. I know God gave me my brain, my curiosity, etc, etc, and I love it.

My philosophy is this: wanna honour god? Use the gifts he gave us. He created us with such a powerful and inquisitive mind. Look at all our accomplishments. We’ve extended our dominion beyong the planet! We’re unlocking the secrets of nature itself. We have done this all by ourselves, with the things given to us by our creator. Why would we insult him by purposely shutting off our brains and living our entire existence by a book that was meant to be just a template for good living?

Nooo, the Manhattan Project gave you bigger bombs and Werner von Braun and the rest of the Third Reich gave you the ability to deliver them. And America is in the process of disarming its nuclear arsenal, mostly because they’re a money pit and have only been used twice.

Wow, Carsick, remember the part about U.S. History? Please read it. The Bible is a History book….think of American History in the same light (as a source for History) and learn it! (go back and soak up some of the Bible while you’re at it.)
And America isn’t about to bomb anyone over there….imagine the political side-effects…oh wait, learn politics THEN ponder the side-effects.
And adamnelson…you’re right, bricks suck. They never say anything good back.

There’s an excellent play by Arthur Miller on that subject that deals with God and Lucifer debate this subject. God made Lucifer the one angel who could see reason and science, and Lucifer got tired of worshiping God and left. As a result, God is reluctant to allow Adam and Eve the same knowledge, but Lucifer says that if they can look at a flower and not just see that it is beautiful, but a hugely complex chain of atoms and etc, they will appreciate creation even more. So he has the serpent tempt Eve, and creates science, sin, and sex on earth. It’s a shaky play, being Miller’s first comedy, but it’s thought-provoking.

Do you believe this was ever his mission? Or do you think he USED the religious right to get elected? I’d offer books that prove the latter, but I gather you’d find them irrelevant since they were published after 33 A.D.

Voorhees, you’d have to stretch your date a little longer than that, since the accepted Gospels were written long after 33 AD, suspiciously long after Jesus’ death.
Salmo, that’s an interesting play. I looked it up. Here’s a real noodle-scratcher: why do we assume God is the good one? What if the deal with Satan and bloody hellfire is all propaganda, and Satan is in fact the one we should be worshipping? They’re on opposite ends of the spectrum, but they must both think that they’re right. Nobody fights or believes because they think they’re wrong.

Is satan mentioned in the old testament at all? I know that he wasn’t in the garden of eden–that was a snake. It says so in the original hebrew.
