Mitt Romney: Gunshy

Sam comes out swinging today:

The Brownback camp is certainly flexing its muscles via press releases. This afternoon, it issued one body-slamming Romney for flip-flopping on guns. It’s entitled: “Mitt Romney’s Record on Gun Rights: Political Opportunism, Pandering and Flip-Flopping.” Ouch.

That’s going to sting!

I haven’t located the press release yet. When I do I’ll link to it and post some excerpts.

For now, why not read Mitt Romney: America’s Hunter? It’ll make you laugh.

Update: GreenMountainPolitics1 has excerpts in Sam Brownback Is Calling Down the (Email) Wrath of God on Romney.

  1. Sam Brownback should stand as the role model that all young men aspire to become. He is strong, brilliant, and Godly. That is something these liberals aren’t accustomed to.

Thank God Sam Brownback will be our President in 2008!

  2. You wouldn’t know though…would you? You never read my list did you? Should I repost for you? Liberal is a school of thought, and agreeing with one point or another doesn’t make you liberal…you just agree with a point that they have. Again, whether you admit it or not, you prolly agree with some liberal thought. Actually, do you agree with the economics that Republicans lean towards? Tell me that Crockett.

  3. “Comes out swinging?” “Flexes its muscles,” with press releases? If Senator Bead-RattlerBrownpants were half the man Mrs. T. D. Gaines-Crockett thinks he is, Mittens Romney and his ilk would already be bloodied masses of quivering Jell-O™. I think Sen. Brownboot is a coward hiding behind the pope’s skirts.

  4. Please tell us how many guns Senator Brownback owns, and what kind they are (make & model, please). Pictures would be nice too.

  5. Once again, I request visitors not to comment while intoxicated. Thank you.

  6. C’mon, Psycheout, tell us. We know you’re the guy’s best friend, besides Sisyphus. You know every detail of his mind, it seems.

  7. Tell us what, Linus? About your blanket? I wouldn’t know.

If you’re referring to the idiotic question posed by the drunk M. Bouffant, that’s personal and irrelevant information that will not be disclosed here.

    Go fishing somewhere else.

  8. You mean “trolling”. I know that trolls live under the bridge where the fish are, but that doesn’t mean that the two are synonymous.

  9. Perhaps he means ‘phishing’? Although I still doubt that he would know what that means.

Anyway, hooray for gun control! Hooray for extraterritorial laws!

  10. Gun control is from Liberal school of thought……. 😀

  11. Don’t talk rubbish, La Mona. There is no overall liberal school of thought. There is economic liberalism and social liberalism and few people subscribe entirely to all of the ideas espoused by even one of those branches.

Liberal comes from the Latin libertas, meaning freedom. Thus a philosophical liberal would probably argue against gun control. ‘Liberals’ wouldn’t, because they mostly aren’t concerned about political philosophy but about practicality. Hence it becomes a tribal affiliation, and hence Gaines-Crockett and talk about the America-destroying liberals. Not in a sane and rational way, of course, but then she has no intention of doing that. Just because it’s massively over-the-top, doesn’t mean it’s not satire.

On a wider note, as former commander of the infant Red Army, whilst I disagree with Senator Brownback’s policies, I admire his revolutionary ardour and the clear desire of his supporters to shoot their enemies in the head so that their corpses topple into the graves which said enemies have been forced to dig.

Indeed, I would go so far as to say that cometh the revolution, Senator Brownback would not merely not be amongst the first up against the wall, but he’d probably have to wait a couple of days whilst we worked our way along K Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.

  12. “School of thought” is my coining….I didn’t know what else to call it since, while Liberals tend to be Democrats and Conservatives tend to be Republican, that’s not always the case. Shall we stick with characteristics of those said groups then? And on the political field (since that’s what we’re talking about here) Liberals are more for gun control while Conservatives are more for gun rights. I’ve made a list for this somewhere……And, I wrote in that to be a member or supporter of one you do not have to agree with all characteristics or follow all said characteristics and you may agree with some views of another because I know that (myself as an example) people hardly ever go straight Liberal or straight Conservative–Straight Democrat or Republican….most that claim stuff like that end up in a Third party for radical views. All said, that comment was from a previous deal in another blog where I had to seperate Liberal Conservative, Republican, and Democrat, and at the time Liberal and Conservative seemed to fit political “school of thought” (not having to be a school of thought–) and Republicans and Democrats the obvious political parties. K?
