Attention, Shoppers!

Senator Brownback’s new book hits stores tomorrow!

U.S. Senator Sam Brownback, Republican candidate for president, will release his new book “From Power to Purpose: A Remarkable Journey of Faith and Compassion” on July 3.

“If we ever lose our goodness, we will surely lose our greatness,” writes Brownback. “If America is to stay great, the moral character, shared beliefs and common sense of her people will once again have to step up in order for us to achieve our true destiny and purpose.”

Published by Thomas Nelson, the book introduces readers to a humble, Midwestern candidate with a strong faith and unique vision for the country.

As the title suggests, Brownback admits he got into politics in part for the notoriety and influence. It didn’t take long before the seduction of power and pride began.

“Pride can be especially dangerous in a place like the United States Senate, where the walls are marble, and you’re never wrong, at least according to your press releases,” says Brownback.

But he found a new way and purpose that he spells out sincerely for readers. Brownback describes a need for our country and the Republican Party to expand to include more ideas based on compassion, renewing the family and rebuilding the culture.

Describing himself as a “bleeding-heart conservative,” Brownback calls on the country to care as much about the child in Darfur as the child next door, as much about prison reform as tax reform, and the need for national reconciliation and the important role of faith in the public square.

That book sounds like mandatory reading for every decent patriotic American, to me. I have a feeling it’ll be on the high school curriculum 15 years from now. We can all discuss it in a few weeks or so, once we’ve all had the chance to peruse it!

  2. A book? A book.

Sorry, there’s only one book I need to read, and I do so regularly. All the rest is leftist trash, influenced by those communist publishing and media companies.

Sorry, Sam; I’m passing on this one.

  3. And Mrs. Gaines-Crockett: some of your commentary was a tad…un-Christian. Let us always try to maintain high ground, shall we?

Pff. And that’s why you will never wake up.

  7. I was going to buy a new BIBLE so I could go through it and highlight all the passages I like. The one I have now has some many colors and highlights it looks like a cheap whore.

So, anyway, I don’t have much money. Should I buy a new BIBLE or spend it on this new book from Future-president Brownback?

  8. Buy a copy of the OT in Hebrew, and one of the NT in koine.

  10. Proceed with caution, Anna. I am convinced that this Col. Kurtz is harboring evil of the worst sort and will only pray only God will strike him dead at his keyboard.

    FOOL!

English is God’s language just as America is his chosen country. HIS bible is in ENGLISH.

  12. ‘English is God’s language just as America is his chosen country. HIS bible is in ENGLISH.’

So why did Jesus speak in Aramaic, then? And why did Paul write his letters in Greek? And why is the Tetragrammaton in Hebrew then?

‘Mrs. Gaines-Crockett please join me in a prayer for Col. Kurtz. Satan seems to have taken hold of the poor man’s soul. Sire a port held!’

‘Proceed with caution, Anna. I am convinced that this Col. Kurtz is harboring evil of the worst sort and will only pray only God will strike him dead at his keyboard.’

I think (but am not sure) that Col. Kurtz derives his name from the character from the film ‘Apocalypse Now’, and is merely quoting and adapting from that.

  14. @ Interpreted,

“So why did Jesus speak in Aramaic, then? And why did Paul write his letters in Greek? And why is the Tetragrammaton in Hebrew then?”

Because they were God’s favorite language *then*. Assuredly it hasn’t slipped your notice that the Jews are not God’s chosen people anymore? Since the United States is the most powerful and richest nation to ever exist in human history it is clear that we Americans are specially favored by God now. However with the damage liberals are doing to Christianity in this country like the teaching Darwinism in schools and so forth we must face the possibility that this special favor may be withdrawn. When that happens you moonbats can look in the mirror when you want someone to blame.

  15. Amen, BJ! You have the calling from above. What a wonderful minister you would make!

Praying softly and tenderly for Jesus is calling. Calling for you and for me. Come home, come home. Jesus is calling us home.

Reminds me of something you’ve done to me. The “hurtful” and “evil” part. Ring any bells?

  17. oh but see, the way she works, everything she does is good, and everything that disagrees with her is evil. It’s a totally self-reinforcing system.

Also, the US is NOT God’s chosen country. That’s an awfully vain assumption to make with no proof. If that were so, he’d surely wipe out Rome and the Vatican and the next Pope would be ordained in the States.

And btw, the Jews ARE God’s chosen, just like it says in the Bible. You Bible literalists can’t just pick and choose what you like to believe. It doesn’t quite work that way.

  18. Yea, I think this has been explained before too….but of course, they didn’t listen. It might’ve been right next to the one that stated that ‘Good Christian men from the torturing of Liberals, Homosexuals, and Muslims….’ They thought I was crazy when I said that that wasn’t biblical. And guess what, I just read that Crockett here is Baptist…Does the rest of your church know of your side beliefs?

  19. “So, anyway, I don’t have much money. Should I buy a new BIBLE or spend it on this new book from Future-president Brownback?”

You can get the Bible for free in any number of places- churches, hotel rooms, and street corners, to name a few examples. Sam Brownback’s book will probably cost money. But the choice is, ultimately, yours. I suppose you could wait a few weeks, then get the Brownback book in the public library. But that building is a den of liberalism. It’s a very dangerous place to tread; hopefully President Brownback will close our libraries, or at least make sure they’re only stocked with proper American and Christian books. Until then, though, libraries are still extremely dangerous, moonbatty places. Be careful if you go there, Happy Clam.

Every time that you translate the Bible, it gets a little further from its original meaning.

  21. Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett: you go to church, you kiss that cross, you think you will be saved at any cost? You have your own reality, called Christianity. So, you spend your life just kissing ass, a trait that’s grown as your time on this planet has passed. You think the world will end today, so you praise the lord, it’s all you ever seem to say. The Dead are free to roam… lonely children of the night, there’s seven ways to go… each leading to the burning hole that Satan controls!!

Jesus “saves” – ha! listen to you pray. You think you’ll see the pearly gates, when death takes you away Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett? Far away, deep below to the pits of Hades. For all respect you cannot lust, in an invisible man you place your trust. Indirect dependency. Eternal attempt at amnesty. He will decide who lives and dies. Depopulate Satan’s rise. You will be an accessory. No need to pray, the gates of pearl have turned to gold. It seems you’ve lost your way. No words of praise, no promised land to take you to… there is no other way.

Yet you claim “God” speaks to you Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett, your restless mouth full of this that gains you popularity. You care not for the old that suffer, when empty pockets cry from hunger. Penniless from their generosity, sharing their money to quench your greed. Searching for the answer to their prayers, they cry their last wish of need. You say find salvation in the lord, tell me liar, how do you know.

Send your donations, contribute to the cause. Luxuries. Your righteous reward? Praise the lord, praise god, is what you wish to believe: Remember, there is no heaven without a hell… and in your mind’s eye could you truely believe, that by giving you can save your soul, could you be so naive?? You think he heals the sick, or even raises the dead; Religious blackmail is a deceit of trust, that death will come and all will be lost… Jesus knows your soul can not be saved you harlot of Satan, telling lies…

Can you hear the serpents call Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett, look deep in those deceiving eyes. Ignore the writing on the wall, you should read between the lies. When doubt subsides his honesty an inquiry, is it blasphemy? Impure the soul, that’s made no suffer, no sermons left to hide or cover, an empty promise, lie unfulfilled, to steal a dream or get it killed… they claim your trip to heaven is nearby, you may believe it Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett, but Satan wouldn’t lie.

Tell the truth, Mrs. T.D. Gaines-Crockett, save your soul.

While I pray for the day that den of idolitors and pederasts called the Vatican is wiped off the Earth, sweet blood of Jesus boy! why would you think that I would want another perverted pagan fish-head god worshiper like the pope picked on the sacred soil of the good US of A?

Sissy-Puss, thanks for the warning about the Library. I had not been considering that drastic course of action and will certainly stay out until my, er, prayer group is, er, ready to check out ALL of the filthy books in there.

Not to worry though, I have sold my mother’s car and purchased the gold-leaf and platinum bound bible of my dreams and still have plenty left for the future president’s book AND lots of ammo.
