The dangers of a Mormon presidency

We already know that Mitt Romney named his dog after a pot-smoking America hating radical. Now we learn that his religion’s polygamist ways present real dangers:

In a dusty neighborhood under sheer sandstone cliffs studded with juniper on the Arizona-Utah border, a rare genetic disorder is spreading through polygamous families on a wave of inbreeding.

(snip)

The community of about 10,000 people, who shun outsiders and are taught to avoid newspapers, television and the Internet, is home to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (FLDS), a sect that broke from the mainstream Mormon church 72 years ago over polygamy.

The group, who wear conservative 19th-century clothing, is led by Warren Jeffs, who was arrested in August and charged as an accomplice to rape for using his authority to order a 14-year-old girl against her wishes to marry and have sex with her 19-year-old cousin.

And you thought Lewinskygate was bad! A Romney presidency would be ten times as bad.

  1. This morality is even WORSE than that of the secular humanists.

  2. I just want to point out (not that I’d vote for him) that Romney isn’t a fundamentalist Mormon, nor a polygamist.

The mainline LDS church has publicly decried polygamy for 70 years, and contributes vigorously to the prosecution of it as a crime.

So he would have you believe, my gullible treefrog friend.

  4. The dangerof in-breeding is very real but I sometimes think the libmedia overstates it’s case to encourage miscegenation and mongrelization. This is in support of its one world one race goal.

That’s true. I hadn’t thought of it that way. Undoubtedly, one race would be that much easier for the One World Government overlords to control.

  6. I heard they engage in mind control through secret, special underwear.

“as we all know, even the ones who are genuinely raped bear part of the blame for being raped, in that they dress provocatively, drink liquor, or associate with questionable people.”

  8. Obviously Skeptic is already wearing the mind-control underwear.

  9. No, you can’t get out of this one DPS, you said this.

  10. “No, you can’t get out of this one DPS, you said this.”

Of course I did. It is also completely inapplicable to the case in question, since if you consult the comment again you will see that the antecedent of “the ones” is “women,” i.e. adult females. A fourteen-year-old is a minor, not an adult. The question of whether a minor should be punished under circumstances such as these is a quite separate one.

Now, do you see why I have suspicions about your underwear? I strongly recommend that you have you underwear checked by a priest, and that you microwave all of it for at least ten minutes.

  11. What’s all this about underwear? Do Mormons wear magic underwear or something?

  12. Yes, DPS, do care to enlighten us on the magic underwear.

  13. http://www.mormon-underwear.com/

Obviously, since it’s a sympathetic site, they probably won’t mention the mind-control aspect of the underwear.

  14. PS it goes without saying that this is how they are controlling Willard “Mitt” Romney.

  15. Regardless of whether Mitt Rhomney is a polygamous Mormon or not, not all Mormons are polygamous, so it is dangerous to assume that one just because he claims he’s a Mormon.

I don’t really believe that Rhomney is a Mormon, btw. He was so against everything that Mormons believe in during the earliest part of his governorship: pro-abortion and pro-homosexual. Mormons are largely pro-life and very anti-homosexual. To the point of being rabid when it comes to these topics.

He says whatever the transmissions to his underwear tell him to say. I know that sounds improbable, but the fact of the matter is that it’s true.

  17. Magic underwear is a sinful concept. Who are these heathens?

  18. The mainstream Mormon Church (reformed or West Coast) still have beliefs similar to the FLDS, only WHEN the federal and state governments and communities outlawed their polygamy (in 1890 to grant Utah statehood), incest, inbreeding, racism, distrust/abuse of outsiders and other bizzare beliefs (radical right beliefs mostly, people living on the moon and longer than us, having multiple children to reach a higher level in their church and celestial kingdom who also will become gods to populate the rest of the planets, blood atonement and gutting/disembowling ceremonies (UT had firing squad executions until recently), baptism for the dead; planet Kolob, Elohim, Jesus and Lucifier/Satan are brothers; Satanic/Masonic symbols on temples; only recent effort to add in “Jesus Christ” to their name “of Latter Day Saints” to improve public relations as Christian, ironically a New York marketing company was paid to do this);no evidence whatsoever of book of Mormon Jewish “dark, loathsome” Lamanites which their current book names as todays natives/Indians- but DNA evidence now shows that modern Native Americans are more related to Asians and not Jews) and the “white delightsome” Nephites, or most of the lands in the book) by threatening to shut down their whole system did they change; likewise, this includes their racist beliefs of Blacks and any others of color until 1978 where they received a supposed divine revelation in fact, colleges were to boycott BYU which had no ethnic or any person of color attending and people forget the riots and Molotov cocktails thrown at college sports events with BYU; further, it took a mob to lynch their courterfeiting fraud and philanderer, Joseph Smith (a lying “prophet” who said God was going to return to Independence, MO, in seventy-some years and who forged the Kinderhook plates and whose Book of Abraham is a hoax and is instead the Egyptian mummification book for the dead and he had fraud seer stones to read and move 200 pound missing gold tablets before the Rosetta stone to interpret Egyptian Hieroglyphs was even discovered) and numerous states to issue Extermination Orders of these Mormons, as well U.S. President Buchanan sending federal troops to Utah to take down the violent, racist, ranting polygamist, Brigham Young (read his racist ideas and his likely implication in the Mountain Meadows Massacre- e.g. Sept. Dawn ). The mainstream ones in Utah for example do not prosecute knowingly polygamous communities; and where in the world did the FLDS get so many millions of dollars, food, and weapons to even be able to build their town in Eldorado, Texas and pay for Warren Jeff’s legal defense? besides the laundered federal and state money documentedly taken in Colorado City, Arizona. The bizarre, racist beliefs still exist in the Mormon literature to this day although they constantly try to buy up and rewrite their books. The FLDS is a scattered group living in different areas and owns lots of money through the United Effort Plan where they have more than 2600 acres and buildings in Colorado City, AZ worth more than $67 million, and 2170 acres and building in Hilldale, UT worth over $40 million, and 309 acres and building in British Columbia, Canada worth $4 million. The mainstream church is very rich and apparently tolerates and may support their own fundamentalists. Everything to Mormons is money, in fact UT is the highest bankruptcy state in the U.S. because of their desperate attempts to earn (and then keep a false front of modesty and appearing nice, and quietly stab you in the back besides hoarding food and weapons) and their mandatory tithing is strictly enforced; you have to pay more if you earn more also, as well as pay for your mission work (which is not charity but proseletyzing to dupe more converts and get more money with mostly boys characteristically wearing white shirts and ties and magic temple undergarments).
