Let’s Hit Syria Before They Hit Israel!

Free Republic links to a Jerusalem Post article pointing out that Syria and Hezbollah are poised to attack Israel!

Syria, Iran and Hizbullah are preparing for the possibility of a war with Israel on the Syrian front, Channel Two reported on Wednesday night.

Reportedly, Damascus has set August as the month for final war preparations.

The report followed an earlier security cabinet meeting devoted almost exclusively to Syria,
during which Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Israel is working through various diplomatic channels to assure Damascus that Jerusalem wants peace and is not interested in a war.

His comments come amid a flurry of reports about a Syrian military buildup and concern in the defense establishment that if various Syrian overtures were not well received in Israel, the Syrians might initiate military action to try and retain the Golan, or a piece of it.

Olmert is a useless weakling. Ariel Sharon wouldn’t have let this planning occur for two seconds. If he were still in charge, Israeli tanks would be rolling through Damascus by now. But, we have to work with the allied governments we have, however cowardly and incompetent they seem to be. Right now, it looks like the only sensible course of action for Israel to take is to invade Syria and Lebanon. They need to do some kind of preemptive strike, to buy themselves some time and take the initiative away from the enemy.

They also need to distract Syria, so that our forces can invade from the East and crush them. It’s the best way to secure Israel, western Iraq, and freedom. Iran won’t like it, and Hezbollah will be most displeased to lose a major sponsor; but those guys are our enemies. I don’t think we have to worry about them. Besides, we never negotiate with terrorists. And Iran’s turn will come soon after.

How many troops would it even take to conquer Syria? With proper air support, one platoon could probably overrun the entire country. Of course, a couple battalions more might be needed to hold it; luckily, most of the occupying will be done by the Israelis. And we could draw down some forces from western Iraq and send them in.

The path to success in Operation Iraqi Freedom lies through Syria. We must take it, or risk the loss of Iraqi freedom.

  1. So then Syrians want the Golan heights back? No problem with it. Israel occupied and annexed it against international law in the first place.

And we all have seen the consequences of Israel invading it´s neighbours lately. can anyone say FUBAR?

Oh well, and please try to invade Syria. The USa aren´t enough of an international paria by now. A few more agressive wars will solve that, though.

Yeah, the USA. Like an animal in it´s last throes. This superpower is clearly at the end of it´s power.

Let´s get it going, people of Europe.
We have a world to run.🙂

  2. Since the Saddam’s weapons of mass destruction are in Syria what is the hold up? We need to destroy Syria before terrorists are launching rockets filled with nerve gas into Los Vegas!!

  4. Think of the faces in Afghanistan when the people were liberated, when they moved out in the streets and they started singing and flying kites and women went to school and people were able to function and other countries were able to start interacting with them. That’s what would happen in Syria.

  8. I am positive that when Sam is president of the United States of America (the only country that matters), Syria will be swiftly liberated from the Islamocommies and abortionists currently in charge in that South East Asian state. I mean, if we don’t take care of Syria, they are a grave threat to our friends, South Korea! President Brownback will swiftly topple Saddam Hussein, and the children will throw candies at the feet of Sam as he tours the rubble. Go, Sam, go!!

  9. Syria’s about to get one big mouthful of delicious freedom, and they’ll thank us, believe me.

They may even get their delicious freedom while strapped to a board with their heads below their feet and the freedom poured over a cloth covering their noses and mouths. They may be so overwhelmed with emotion they will be speechless…but I’m pretty sure their gratitude will be extricated sooner than later. (Maybe a little electrical stimulation will be necessary to wake them from their reverie though.) Then they will give us flowers and candy.

  11. Syria’s military should present no difficulties whatsoever. Our troops will be greeted as liberators, and the Israelis will find a new ally in Syria once the Assad regime is toppled.

  13. I predict that when President Brownback liberates Syria, our troops (as ordained by Christ) will find all of Saddam’s WMD burried in a bunker in the desert, and documents relating Saddam’s specific intent to use them upon the United States of America and Israel.

Isn’t it supposed to start in the middle east? That’s why Jack van Impe says.

  15. Dave,
It would be pure hubris for a man to predict God’s calender for “the Homecoming”. Only liberals and atheists think they have solved God’s mysteries and believe they are above Him.

That is no prediction, that is slam dunk FACT! Let’s see the libretards try to weasel their way out of this one.

The fact is it is the LEFT who have been the ones holding us back from doing the right thing in Syria all these years. The liberals know when we go in it will undermine their whole “war is bad” whine and they can’t stand it. The left will say anything to anybody to have their own way.

I say this has gone on long enough! My fellow Americans, we can no longer tolerate Syria not having FREEDOM!

    Comment by BJ Tabor — June 7, 2007 @ 10:40 am | Reply

  17. Freedom is:

The right to adhere to ANY religion.

The right to speak your mind, even if it pisses off the conservatives.

The right to do whatever the f*ck you want to do in your own home.

The right to choose one’s government, this automatically implies separation between religion and state, as religious institutions are not democracies.

If you “free” Syria, the population will either remain Muslim or become agnostic/atheist and there would be nothing keeping them from building a completely secular state with a socialist government, they may even choose to ally themselves to nations you don’t like!

Think about it, do you want to bring them freedom, or just the “freedom” to do what you tell them to do?

  18. As much as I hate repeating myself, it’s actually quite warranted here.

“Those that most ardently favor war seldom have felt its bitter taste; rarely are they willing to perform the sacrifices they champion of others.”

  19. Only an unhinged moonbat would think that democratic freedom applies to anyone other than white, Christian male citizens of the United States of America – this is the word of Christ. President Brownback will liberate the Syrians, thereby granting a different kind of freedom – the freedom to behave as Presidnet Brownback requires, i.e. support the War on Terror, convert to Christianity, and cater to American tourists when they vacation over there; OR to check in to Club Gitmo. Period.

Of course we want to bring them the “freedom”* The old fashioned freedom you write about was out dated after it was shown to be a failed experiment.

    * All rights reserved and patent pending U.S.of A.

    Comment by carsick — June 7, 2007 @ 11:35 am | Reply

  21. The patents pending are for various military and surveillance apparatus that are necessary for the (copyrighted) “freedom” to work efficiently.
Think of them like the attachments that come with your GI Joe. Sure, GI Joe with his kung fu grip can be fun to play with for a while, but with his attachments (various guns, grenades, humvee, etc.) he provides hours and even days of continuous fun.
    Just like the new “freedom.”*

    * your results may vary.

  22. “Exactly, no reason for a war.”

It’s going to be a cakewalk, not a war. 99% of their soldiers will probably throw down their weapons and surrender once they realize what’s coming to them.

    Comment by Sisyphus — June 7, 2007 @ 1:22 pm | Reply

  23. Sisyphus is exactly correct. Not only will the Syrians probably throw down their weapons and surrender, they will also probably take President Brownback directly to Saddam’s WMD, and shortly thereafter they will probably convert to Christianity after admiring Sam’s broad shoulders and 110% level of manliness, and then they will probably offer their wives and sisters to Sam so that he might enlighten them with the Holy Spirt (and Freedom). After that, probably all Islamosocialist violence throughout the world will end because the barbarians will see that the word of Christ really is vastly superior to the death cult they follow. It will be a dramatic victor for President Brownback, Freedom, and Christ. No reasoned or civil individual can disagree with any of this – no matter what the “facts,” “history,” “experienec,” “common sense,” or “evidence” tells us.

  30. The people of Syria, after decades of brutal oppression, will throw flowers at the feet of our troops, and not just any old flowers either. They will love us so much that they will give us beutiful exotic flowers with high resale value. We can sell them and use these proceeds to pay for the war. The American taxpayer won’t have to pay a dime. Where is the downside.

Where are they going to come from? You can’t walk from Iran to Syria. On the west, Israel and Lebanon; on the east, our troops in Iraq; to the north, our Turkish allies; to the south, our Jordanian allies. Syria will be insurgency-proof.

“I was sure that by the time I came back to my computer we would have conquered Syria. What is taking so long?!?!?!? Faster, please!”

Those treefrogs in Congress are gumming up the works. We may have to wait all the way until 2009 to see anything done about this problem.

Baashir’s Jamaah Isamiyah nuts were scoping the place out, as of 2002-2003 at the earliest. They may be a spent force at this point, but I still wouldn’t take the risk by going out to clubs in Bali/Australia/New Zealand any time soon.

Nope. They will hide the guns in their homes, camo as civilians, wait for the occupation troops and start the IED(sniping attack routine that has been tested and found to be good in Iraq.

PS: Seems like the ISraelis have offerred Syria o give em back the Golan Heights if they stop supporting Hezbollah.
