Take THAT, Somalia!

We’ve just hit the terrorists again:

At least one U.S. warship bombarded a remote, mountainous village in Somalia where Islamic militants had set up a base, officials in the northern region of Puntland said Saturday.

The attack from a U.S. destroyer took place late Friday, said Muse Gelle, the regional governor. The extremists had arrived Wednesday by speedboat at the port town of Bargal.

Gelle said the area is a dense thicket, making it difficult for security forces from the semiautonomous republic of Puntland to intervene on their own.

Honor is salvaged, Mogadishu is avenged, and we have that many fewer bad guys to deal with down the road. I, for one, call this a pretty good day. Next time we should hit that camp with napalm and fry the whole place, then swoop over those Lebanese terror camps and do the same thing.

God bless America!

  1. The liberal media will call these war crimes. I can hear the whining and feel the hand wringing already. When will the liberals and the scientists and those who think they know better than we do in the heartland stop trying to surrender? When will they let us WIN over terrorism?

If they will not let us win, they are terrorists themselves.

  2. We should kill the Somalis, kill all of them. The good ones have mostly died or left.

  6. I think we should kill terrorists wherever we find them. Anyone that objects is objectively pro-terrorist.

we should light them up before we find them. That way we will find it easier to kill them in the dark.

  8. Okay, so we no real idea what damage that strike has done? Great…. Could be that someone just bombed some clueless farmers to kingdom come….
And PS: The guys in Mogadischu (the Habr Gedir militia) were no islamic extremists. Those guys were solely after political power and had nothing to do with our little islamistic nutjobs. But fear not: The guy that was leading the Habr Gedir (Mohammed Farrah Aidid) has been killed in inter-tribe fightings just something like 2 years after the debacle in Mogadischu.
PPS: Seems like I´m pro-terror. But hey, please try bombing my village! Germany has the most dense AA network on this planet, so it could be quite expensive to do so, though.🙂

  9. In a war there are many moments for compassion and tender action. There are many moments for ruthless action–what is often called ruthless–what may in many circumstances be only clarity, seeing clearly what there is to be done and doing it, directly, quickly, awake, looking at it.

Sure. Terrorists probably have to raise crops, too.

…before you told the whole world about your Stalin-esque love for genocide, did any of you even bother to look up whether the ship actually hit anything?

Last time an American plane tried to attack a terrorist leader in Somalia (I think it was back in March), they missed and killed a couple of civilians instead.

Learn from the Israeli’s: their desperate, clumsy acts proved bazooka’s (Apaches) really aren’t good for killing flies (highly maneuverable cars in busy streets), try a fly swatter (sniper) next time…

Those “civilians” should not have been hanging out near a terrorist leader.

Does your village have terrorists in it?

I don’t know. Those guys are normallz not telling everzbody and his mother were they are.
(I think my government would not allow any air strikes on it’s soil anyway.)

Those “civilians” should not have been hanging out near a terrorist leader.

See my point about them not informing people about their whereabouts.

  19. Alright then:

    Christian theocracy.

    Pro:
Christians have a better economy than Muslims
They speak English, I can understand English
    you’re “allowed” to hug non-relatives
no one’s gonna ask to blow myself up

    Con:
    anti-science/retards
    they’re brainless idiots
you can get stoned over nothing
high risk of getting shot by semiliterate redneck
    Christian music sucks!
    way too much 24/7 propaganda
you have to pay money by mail order or creditcard to get into heaven!

    Islam theocracy.

    Pro:
you get to have up to four wives!
    you get Friday off!
when I blow myself up I’ll be a hero on Earth, and get to have 72 good times in heaven
    Muslims aren’t racist

    Con:
    anti-science/retards
    they’re brainless idiots
you can get stoned over nothing
you have to pray 5 times a day!
    Muslim music sucks!
a towel wouldn’t look good on me
you have to fast for like a month!

    …oh man, they both suck!

    Can’t I choose Communism?

@Sceptic: Try some real democracy. Move to europe.

  23. I already live in Europe, but people like DPS equate Europe with evil socialism and believe the world is flat, I didn’t feel like educating them about reality…

To answer DPS’s question, well if it ever came to a world where every country except North Korea is a Christian or Islamic theocracy, then yes, I would gladly move to North Korea!

“To answer DPS’s question, well if it ever came to a world where every country except North Korea is a Christian or Islamic theocracy, then yes, I would gladly move to North Korea!”

Obviously this isn’t going to happen, but: seriously? You’d rather live in North Korea and be forced to worship a tiny fat man in big sunglasses than to live in Iran, be expected to worship the muslim god, and have abridged, but still existent, freedoms?

    Comment by DPS — June 3, 2007 @ 10:05 am | Reply

  25. Iran isn’t even a real theocracy, Afghanistan under the Taliban was, now if you think Iran is so great, then why do you want to invade?

Kim Yong Il won’t live forever, and at least they won’t force me to believe the world is flat!

PS: Muslim god = Christian god (both based on OT)

  26. We need to kill the Somali terrorists now, while we know where they are and know for sure we have the Republican President willing to do it. If Germany, or anyone else, gets in our way, we should take them out, too. Our country is fighting for its life. It’s just like President Bush said. Anyone who is not with us, is against us.

  30. I think it’s ironic that you worship your military and can still be anti-science…

Technology is what makes the American military so powerful, and the source of that technology is science:

nuclear missiles (ICBM’s) travel through space

the GPS system relies on satellites (who also use Einstein’s special relativity)

laserscopes (and even CD players) rely on the same optics that explain why the sky is blue, even though space is black.

not a single officer will agree with you that the Earth is flat, go ahead, ask any fighterpilot what he sees when he looks out of his cockpit at 50000ft

every artillery unit and every missile uses Newtonian physics

Wrong. Our military is based on Christian priniples. NASA and the scientists those boondogglers employ would have you believe otherwise, but it’s really just propoganda to lull our enemies into squandering money on useless scientific research. In actuality, nuclear weapons are sub-ether, satellites reflect images off the water of the ether rather than going up there, and artillery trajectories have been known since Roman times.

    Try again, treefrog!

Good luck on this. LAst time you needed the brits the russians and 50 other countries to do that job. And by now most of them like us better than you.

    Christian God = Muslim GOd

No, but they share so many similarities that you could replace one with the other without really mentioning the differrence.

Hell, yeah. Based on Christian principles. WHere are the Crusade flags? And where are the pikes and spears and bows. BEcause without science, you´d not even have gunpowder.

Asking someone to choose sides in a war isn’t blackmail. It’s survival.

“Good luck on this. LAst time you needed the brits the russians and 50 other countries to do that job. And by now most of them like us better than you.”

Nobody’s really talking about attacking Germany but you. Why are you obsessed with it? Do you WANT America to attack you or something? You sound like a man trying to pick a fight in a tavern.

“Hell, yeah. Based on Christian principles. WHere are the Crusade flags? And where are the pikes and spears and bows. BEcause without science, you´d not even have gunpowder.”

Not if you rule out option 3: Neither side/my own side/i´m not interested in you guys bashing each other.
The very moment you rule that out, it´s blackmail.

Nobody’s really talking about attacking Germany but you. Why are you obsessed with it? Do you WANT America to attack you or something? You sound like a man trying to pick a fight in a tavern.

    May I quote Marcia?
“If Germany, or anyone else, gets in our way, we should take them out, too.”

Wrong! The Chinese invented gunpowder centuries before moonbat Helioleftists like Copernicus came along with their pseudosciences.

And the Chinese are full of christian sprirt, aren´t they?

Ah, the Hun is never very far from the surface, is he?

Actually I have a rather bad opinion about starting aggressive wars and having a dictator run my country and all that stuff. But I can´t stand (sorry) morons talking about “taking out” my country while they have no idea about what they´re talking about. And as I am a soldier (in reserve) everyone actually trying it would have to mess with me, anyways.
PS: “Hun” is a silly, derogatice nickname. I´m not calling you “yankee” either.
