Robert Novak Despises Israel

He proves it with this drivel, which the Washington Post’s America hating Bolshevist staff apparently saw fit to print:

Jimmy Carter raised hackles by titling his book about the Palestinian question “Peace Not Apartheid.” But Palestinians allege this is worse than the former South African racial separation. Nearing the 40th anniversary of the Israeli military occupation of the West Bank, the territory has been so fragmented that a genuine Palestinian state and a “two-state solution” seem increasingly difficult.

The security wall has led to virtual elimination of suicide bombings and short-term peace. But life is hard for Palestinians, whose deaths because of conflict increased 272 percent in 2006 while Israeli casualties declined. In a minor incident last week of the type that goes unnoticed internationally, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) troopers killed a Palestinian man accused of illegally entering a firing zone while collecting metal scraps to sell. The Britain-based organization Save the Children estimates that half the children in the occupied territories are psychologically traumatized.

Never mind that Israel is our only ally and the only reliable democracy outside of Iraq in the region. We’re supposed to feel sorry for the suicide-bombing, Hezbollah-hugging Palestinians because the wall Israel built to keep them from killing Israelis is hurting their feelings. Boo hoo, cry me a river Hamas.

As for Palestinian Christians, they should get more support from the rest of us. I think that would be a wonderful opportunity to make converts among the Muslim population, as well. However, one thing we should NOT allow them to do is to run away from the Holy Land. Their presence there is of critical importance for the survival of the Faith. We owe a duty to them; they owe a duty to us.

As for the take on this those morons at Balloon Juice have, what can one say? At least they have commenters like Darrell over there to help set the Israel-haters straight.

  1. Hezbollah huggers. That’s good! As to Balloon Juice, I thought it used to be a conservative website. It sure is a leftist echo-chamber now though. Seems like that Darrell guy is the only one fighting for the truth.

  2. There are a couple of other good ones over there. This guy named Paul L. posts there occasionally, he seems to have a head on his shoulders. Mostly, though, you’re right. It’s a leftist echo chamber.

You can keep trying to roll that rock up the hill, but in the end it will always come rolling back down.

I pray this metaphor isn’t lost on you, Sisyphus.

  4. I don’t follow, John. I understand the rock reference, but not in regards to my feelings about your echo chamber. I forget, was Sisyphus’s hill in a vast underground cavern full of echoes?
