Homosexuality Is Hazardous To Your Health

Filed under: Homosexuality — Psycheout @ 11:48 am

I hope to find the Family Research Institute study in its entirety, but here’s the summary for now:

Summary: Replicating previous findings that homosexuals are underrepresented after middle age, the 1996 National Household Survey of Drug Abuse (N = 12,381) and 2000 Kaiser Family Foundation 15-city survey (N = 405) reported that homosexual men and women are seldom aged 50+ yr. and that older homosexuals are more apt to have a homosexual partner. Deaths of 228 homosexuals as recorded in the Washington Blade 1999-2001 were examined. Although more apt to have a partner when older, the median age of death of 88 homosexually partnered men was 45 yr., while for 118 unpartnered homosexual men it was 46 yr. This is consistent with the suggestion that homosexual partnering may be an additional hazard to men.

Considering that average lifespans for normal (straight) people is in the 70s and 80s, this demonstrates that homosexuality is indeed hazardous to one’s health. It is a public health problem that must be solved.

Encouraging this behavior with legalized gay marriage will only make the problem worse. Allowing gay adoption will only guarantee that children in these dysfunctional “families” will lose their parents much sooner than the rest of us.

I’m not sure what the solution is, but it certainly is not normalizing the “gay lifestyle.”

  1. I think if the government finances homosexuality recovery groups and training camps, that might help alleviate the problem. Sadly, I don’t think you’ll see that anytime soon, not with San Francisco liberals like Pelosi running Congress.

  2. The life expectancy of gay men is lower due to the high rate of suicides, why do they commit suicide?
Because far-right-wing nut jobs devote their lives to making them feel guilty and miserable, can’t you just leave them alone?

Who loves who is none of your business, I thought America was a free country…

  3. Who are you to sentence sick people to death, Skeptic?

We need to treat these people. If that means temporarily restricting their freedom until they’ve been cured, so be it.

  4. That’s just it, if you wouldn’t keep telling them they’re sick, they wouldn’t be miserable (in countries where homosexuality is more accepted they live productive, happy lives)

  5. If the study suggests that homosexuals have shorter lifespans, its probably because of STRESS. Stress from public criticizm, family criticizm (people who SHOULD love them for who they are, above all else) and on top of it all, people believing rediculous claims that it is a “mental illness.” Of all the homosexuals I have talked to, the number one stressor is family criticizm, usually for religious reasons, and many of them are depressed because of it. Maybe if they weren’t being told they are “wrong” and “sinful” all the time, they might be happier people and might live longer!

  6. You’re the one who needs treatment, you sick bigot, Sisyphus. According to this pseudo-research I’ve been living on borrowed time for the past ten years.
