Senator Brownback and I agree: you’re on the right track:
U.S. Senator Sam Brownback, Republican candidate for President, today commented on pending legislation in the South Carolina state legislature which would require women seeking an abortion to view ultrasound images of the unborn child prior to the procedure.
“I applaud the South Carolina legislature for considering this strong pro-life legislation,” said Brownback. “An unborn child deserves as much protection as we can offer, and I believe this legislation moves us toward that goal.”
The South Carolina state House of Representatives passed a bill similar to the legislation currently being debated in the state Senate. If passed, doctors in South Carolina will be required to show women ultrasound images of the unborn child.
Brownback continued, “Throughout my career in the United States Senate, I have been committed to upholding and fighting for pro-life policy. I believe, and always have, that we must defend life at every stage.”
Senator Brownback was in Charleston, South Carolina on Thursday, March 29, for an event to honor the nation of Israel and the US-Israel alliance at Victory Baptist Church. Brownback will return to South Carolina on Thursday, April 12, for a three-day campaign swing through the Palmetto State.
This will help women to think twice before murdering their infants. I wholeheartedly support this measure, and so should every other right-thinking American who values human life over a woman’s right to murder defenseless babies. Kudos to South Carolina, a state sure to help elect Brownback to the White House!
