Sam Brownback: Supporting the Troops

Yesterday Sam Brownback and colleague Pat Roberts delivered a slapdown to the moonbat Democrats. In short: stop playing games with funding for our military.

U.S. Senators Sam Brownback (R-KS) and Pat Roberts (R-KS) today introduced a Senate Resolution condemning the attachment of politically confrontational provisions to any bill which funds the implementation of the Base Realignment and Closure Commission’s recommendations.

In the words of Sam Brownback:

“Funding for the BRAC Commission’s recommendations is urgent and should not be held hostage by partisan politics. Voting in favor of a funding bill that President Bush will veto because of extraneous controversial provisions undermines Kansas military installations and the many communities that support them.”

And furthermore:

Brownback continued, “It is wrong to attach a time-line to this funding bill, and this proves that the Democrats have no plan for winning the War on Terror. It is a political stunt for Congress to send a bill to the President knowing it will be vetoed. Regrettably, this stunt is one which will cost lives.”

I would have used stronger words and named names but Sam Brownback knows how to get things done and knows the Democrat party has no plan other than surrender, retreat and defeat when it comes to the War on Terror.

Sam tells it like it is, and in doing so supports the troops and their struggle in the current global conflict. Let’s support Sam Brownback in this and let’s pray for our brave troops fighting for our cherished freedom. G-d bless every single one of them and may G-d bless these United States of America.

  2. The Democrat party can’t help playing games with our national security. They have no plan except retreat and defeat. Sickening.
