Die, Terrorists!

Abu Laith al-LibiWe got another bad guy in Afghanistan:

Abu Laith al-Libi, a top al-Qaida commander in Afghanistan who was blamed for bombing a base while Vice President Cheney was visiting last year, has been killed, according to a militant Web site.

Al-Libi was a key link between the Taliban and al-Qaida and was listed among the Americans’ 12 most-wanted men with a bounty of $200,000 on his head.

The Web site Al-Ekhlaas, which frequently carries announcements from militant groups, said that al-Libi had been “martyred” but did not say where he was killed.

Earlier, there had been reports of an attack on militants in a Pakistani village. Pakistani intelligence officials and local residents said a missile hit a compound about 2.5 miles outside Mir Ali in North Waziristan late Monday or early Tuesday, destroying the facility.

Residents said they were not allowed to approach the site of the blast and the Pakistan government and military said they did not know who fired the missile. Local officials said foreigners were targeted in the attack.

A not-so-fond farewell to Hell’s latest sojourner. But wait, it gets better:

One intelligence official in the area, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the bodies of those killed were badly mangled by the force of the explosion and it was difficult to identify them. The official estimated 12 people were killed, including Arabs, Turkemen from central Asia and local Taliban members.

Not only did we get these cockroaches, we REALLY got them. Satan must be hurling chunks right now just looking at them.

We’ll just keep killing these people, and killing and killing them, until we get Bin Laden. The day will come, folks. The day will come. The day will come.

The only news that troubles me is this:

North Waziristan is a lawless enclave in neighboring Pakistan where last year the Pakistani government reached a peace deal with pro-Taliban militants. U.S. officials have since expressed concern that al-Qaida could be regrouping in Pakistan’s border zone.

Mir Ali is the second biggest town in North Waziristan and has a strong presence of foreign militants, mostly Uzbeks with links to al-Qaida who fled to Pakistan’s tribal regions after the fall of the Taliban regime in Afghanistan in 2001.

A Pakistani intelligence official said that al-Libi had stayed until late 2003 in the North Waziristan village of Norak, about three miles outside Mir Ali, where he had several compounds. He shifted inside Afghanistan after he took charge of al-Qaida operations on both sides of the border area, but retained links with Norak, the official said.

If we know there are so many terrorists in Mir Ali, why haven’t we flattened the place? A dozen daisy cutters (or one nuke) in and around the city could quickly solve many of the problems we face in Afghanistan today. Why hasn’t anyone taken care of this Satanist Islamist insurgent hotbed yet?

Splodeydopes at It Again; Ron Paultard Update

Bhutto AssassinationThe big news this morning is obviously the assassination of Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto. It’s incidents like this that happen in that primitive and violent part of the world that make us thankful for having a great President like George W. Bush, who has successfully defended America from terrorist attacks. There has been no attack on our homeland since 9/11 due to the President’s incredible leadership.

Naturally President Bush was quick to respond, taking time out of his vacation in Crawford, Texas to condemn this cowardly act of terrorism:

The United States strongly condemns this cowardly act by murderous extremists who are trying to undermine Pakistan’s democracy. Those who committed this crime must be brought to justice. Mrs. Bhutto served her nation twice as Prime Minister and she knew that her return to Pakistan earlier this year put her life at risk. Yet she refused to allow assassins to dictate the course of her country.

We stand with the people of Pakistan in their struggle against the forces of terror and extremism. We urge them to honor Benazir Bhutto’s memory by continuing with the democratic process for which she so bravely gave her life.

Benazir BhuttoFor the details on this cowardly homicide bombing that resulted in over a dozen deaths, including Bhutto’s, be sure to check out Hot Air’s coverage. Bryan is doing a heck of a job. Michelle Malkin is too. Isn’t the new media fantastic?

Is this the work of al Qaeda or violent and repulsive wannabes? It’s too early to tell. But this incident proves again the folly of appeasing or surrendering to the terrorists who want to kill us. They must be hunted down and shot like the wild and rabid dogs that they are. There is no other answer. An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. It’s time to make the Islamic extremists blind and toothless.

Sadly, there is already a discussion of how this affects the U.S. Presidential campaign. Does this help Giuliani and Clinton? Yuck. Blogs 4 Conservatives explores that angle and determines that it’s too disgusting to contemplate.

Bill Clinton and Monica LewinskyUpdate: al Qaeda behind the attack? U.S. intelligence is looking into responsibility claims at this very moment. What should the U.S. response be? Former President Clinton had plenty of chances to get bin Laden and was even offered Osama on a silver platter by Sudan but he wasn’t interested, since he wasn’t a chubby girl in a thong. The Clinton legacy of perversion and failure haunts us to this day.

Update 2: Ron Paul naturally blames America first. He claims that Al Qaeda is justified in being “annoyed” at us. Nice one, Ron. Wrap a towel around your head and just go away.  Moar reaction from Bryan at Hot Air.

Why We Fight

Torture ChamberA torture chamber was discovered in Iraq by U.S. troops. And no, lefties, I’m not talking about Abu Ghraib. I’m referring to an al Qaeda torture chamber. You remember al Qaeda, right? They’re the ones who attacked us on 9/11. The same ones that Dr. Ron Paul desperately wants to surrender to. Ring any bells?

Coalition forces found 26 bodies buried in mass graves and a bloodstained “torture complex,” with chains hanging from walls and ceilings and a bed connected to an electrical system, the military said Wednesday.

From December 8 to 11, the troops who found the complex also killed 24 people they said were terrorists and detained 37 suspects, according to a statement issued by Multinational Division North at Camp Speicher in Tikrit.

The moves were part of an operation called Iron Reaper that has been in progress across northern Iraq for the past few weeks.

Terrorists. These are the people we’re up against. These are the people we must defeat if the fragile democracy in Iraq is to survive. And we’re doing it right now in Iraq. We’re winning. Iron Reaper (cool name) is succeeding. And make no mistake about it: the butchers we’re up against are soulless amoral savages.

Photos given to the news media show a filthy bed wired to an electrical system, with an outlet hanging from wires on the wall. In the video, troops point out rubber hoses and boxing gloves, a ski mask and a blood-covered sword and knives. Other still photos show an entrance to the underground bunker and barbed wire stretched outside it.

A short distance away from the complex, troops found a bullet-riddled Iraqi police vehicle. Some of the bodies may belong to Iraqi police, according to the military video.

Is there any doubt that we need to win this epic battle for civilization? Or should we simply pack it in, retreat, isolate ourselves from the rest of the world and allow terror to spread across the globe?  The answer is no. Oceans no longer protect us.  That was made painfully clear on September the 11th, 2001.

Some say al Qaeda wasn’t in Iraq before the liberation of that nation was underway. They’re wrong of course. But al Qaeda is most assuredly there now, just begging to be destroyed. I say we continue to give them what they so richly deserve: death. And President Bush would agree.

This is why we fight. This is also why we must win. Anything short of total victory is unacceptable.  The dark spectre of terrorism must be extinguished so that a shining beacon of freedom can blossom in the heart of the Middle East.  We can win.  We must win.  We will win.

We Won

Al Qaeda in IraqBad news for the terrorsymps on the left. They wanted you to believe that victory in Iraq was impossible. They wanted to cut and run. They desperately wanted us to surrender in the War on Terror. Well, guess what? They were wrong. We won.

“Al Qaeda in Iraq is defeated,” according to Sheik Omar Jabouri, spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic Party and a member of the widespread and influential Jabouri Tribe. Speaking through an interpreter at a 31 October meeting at the Iraqi Islamic Party headquarters in downtown Baghdad, Sheik Omar said that al Qaeda had been “defeated mentally, and therefore is defeated physically,” referring to how clear it has become that the terrorist group’s tactics have backfired. Operatives who could once disappear back into the crowd after committing an increasingly atrocious attack no longer find safe haven among the Iraqis who live in the southern part of Baghdad. They are being hunted down and killed. Or, if they are lucky, captured by Americans.

Take that, moonbats! This is the worst thing ever for your anti-American defeatism. Face it: we were right and you were wrong. Now is not the time to surrender. Total victory is close at hand. So sorry to have disappointed you. A little mopping up and we can move on dot com. You and your pals lost, we won. Eat it, lefties.
