The harry potter franchise is the work of satan! I caught my youngest son reading one of them last week, and I burned the book and beat him half to death. Why hasn’t anybody done anything to combat this devil scripture. My suggestion is that we let local bookstores know that if they stock books like Harry Potter, they won’t get our buisness. I am currently boycotting Amazon.com for their refusal to remove them! If this failes, we may have to resort to more violent measures.

By the way, by homosexuality being medically dangerous, are you referring to the AIDS epidemic? Because I have shocking statistics for you.

Yes, homosexual males are most likely to get AIDS. Heterosexual males are in second, and heterosexual females third most likely.

However, lesbians are dramatically less likely to contract AIDS than any of the aforementioned groups. If health were the main issue here, there would be people lobbying for all women to become lesbians, and nobody is stupid enough to claim that.

JK Rowling is amazing.Not only did she get children away from the television and back into reading, she also captured the interest of adults as well. The Harry Potter series does not promote Satan. Yes, it deals with magic but so does the story of Santa Claus (how else is one to travel around the world in one night and fit down chimneys far too small for him? Obviously magic..) Another name for Santa? Saint Nicholas. Do the people who are “anti-Potter” also discourage their children from the happy wonder of Santa Claus?

The Harry Potter series promotes acceptance, love, and the triumph of good over evil. That doesn’t sound like a terrible lesson to teach our children…

Wow, I don’t know what to say first. The fact that some old hag had the nerve to say that a “A homosexual lifestyle is a harmful one, That’s proven, medically.” HA. Please spend more time raising your four sheltered kids rather than stating some close minded statement such as that. I have a child, he’s 9, and he looooooooves harry potter, does that make him gay? or a satan follower? NO, he makes him imaginative and bright. He could care less about any of the characters sexual orientation. I don;t think any child who reads would care, it’s the uptight parents who want their kids to grow up in bubbles that actually care that some one could be a homosexual. WAKE UP PEOPLE, ITS 2007 FOR GODS SAKE………what are you going to do when a WOMAN becomes president and LEGALIZES GAY MARRIAGE??? I’ve always fought against religious indoctrination as being supersticious brainwashing that is proven to be the cause of more hatred, malice and bloodshed than any other phenomenon in the history of humankind, I found this site by accident via Reddit (in a round about way) and thought at first I had landed on proof that Americans can understand the subtle humour of sarcasm.

I now realise with horror that this is genuine, I could make endless comments detailing just how you appear to sane individuals but there would clearly be no point.

This is why most of the civilized world now hates America, those Americans still capable of independant thought please bear in mind how you look to the rest of the world when you pour out such bile into a public domain.

It is a big world out there and the rest of us are watching you, the reaction of the American public after an author explained of her FICTIONAL character’s back story is fast becoming a worldwide joke.

On the plus side, your behaviour is sure to increase sales of Ms Rowling’s work as nothing is more certain to generate publicity and further sales than some extremist group shouting about it from the rooftops.

Keep up the good work, if sales are lagging (which I doubt), your behaviour is certain to correct the situation.
